PASabreFan Posted Wednesday at 01:26 PM Author Report Posted Wednesday at 01:26 PM (edited) So in reading a little more about the guy, he just seems to be anti bull sh*t. He faced down Hammy. Not easy. He is a goalie who rejects superstitions. And this: Sabres.com: You grew up on an island (on the Lake of the Woods in Minnesota) going to a one-room school with your sister until age 7. What was that experience like? Lyon: “The story actually stretches further every time somebody writes about it.” And this: Edited Wednesday at 01:27 PM by PASabreFan 1 1 Quote

Olean Times Herald headline: Sabres’ Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen starts important season with conditioning assignment in Rochester: ‘I feel great’ Important season? Sure, the one where you ended up on the end of the bench. Lindy better get this right. Edited Wednesday at 02:13 PM by PASabreFan Quote

Come on PA, you can find it and then do the copy and paste thingy. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted Wednesday at 02:34 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 02:34 PM Lyon?! Huh. Well, I say go for it! The only Sabres jersey I own is one my wife arranged to buy through the Sabres Alumni Association (now defunct?) many years ago. She dealt with Larry Playfair, whom she said was a very sweet guy. Anyway, it's a white field #11. Signed by the man himself (not at the time of purchase - but at the arena during a wearing). There are about 8 separate (fairly small) food stains on the thing. I can't bear to wash it because I don't want Gilbert's signature to fade. 1 Quote

PerreaultForever Posted 22 hours ago Report Posted 22 hours ago (edited) This could be an entertaining thread. Everybody pick the player name they would pick if they got a free jersey. (I'm saying a free jersey to stop the cheapskates from saying they wouldn't buy a Sabres jersey) Mine would be Benson. It's not even close. Edited 22 hours ago by PerreaultForever Quote

Ironically Peca goat head only Sabres jersey I own. I'll say Tuch but Doan and Quinn on my short list too. Quote
Weave Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago I just can’t get a jersey of a player younger than I am. It just feels….. weird. Id have to go with a legacy name. Quote

That Peca jersey would be a fave for me if I had one. Old school I got a lot I'd be happy with but yes, I meant current (to make it challenging) Quote
