Another dinger to score two more. Jays blowing it open to say the least. Finally looking like they did all season.

They’ve been even better in the playoffs

True, they’ve had some big moments. I just don’t recall them having many in the regular season. Seemed like every time I watched them, they were constantly getting guys on base and putting balls in play. But man, that 6th inning was amazing.

Jays nearly tripled the Brewers output from the entire NLCS in the first 6 innings of today’s game

Barger equaled it with one swing

I'm too lazy to google the specifics but this team had the most come from behind wins in franchise history. There were plenty of big moments in there.

There were, and they’ve gotten even better

they led the league with a .265 average in the regular season. They have a .305 average this postseason. Next closest is Dodgers at .252

to get BETTER as you face elite competition is insane

I re-read my post and it wasn’t clear at all. I meant to say that I don’t recall too many times in the season where they had lulls. Absolutely there were big moments all season. Best offensive team in baseball.

Watched the replay this morning.

Media gave Jays zero chance to win the series, prior to Game 1 .

Go Jays !

I had hope, but didn’t give the Jays much of a chance, either. My main reason was starting pitching and what team could chase the other’s starter to get to the weak bullpens both teams have. I was shocked at how they chased Snell last night. If they can do the same to Yamamoto, then all bets are off and the Jays should be favored.

They chased Fried as well.

Good start for the Jays.  They have momentum.

The Dodgers will try to bury that game and come back.

I remember all too well, unfortunately. But Yankee starters aren’t on the same planet as the Dodger starters.

They seem to often be a little counter intuitive. They dial in against the “elite” starters and really work the count, they just DO NOT strike out which makes it incredibly difficult on said starters, who aren’t used to their relentless approach, 1 through 9. Against Seattle game 1 when they got the Mariners’ “5th” starter they struggled.

Basically, they actually seem to up their game when facing the best pitching
