Mike Schopp stopped by our tailgate yesterday and we were talking about how soon the Sabres season will get derailed. If Buffalo does not have a decent record by end of November (lots of winnable games IF they are going to be a playoff team), we both thought the season would spiral.

He's probably hoping the Sabres tank so he has more time to devote to fantasy sports 🙉

I really do respect your opinion and you are one of my go to posters when I visit the board, but man you are like a reformed smoker.😉

Your observation about me is correct. I have lost patience with this owner. A generation of his foolishness has become intolerable for me. He has eroded what should be a vibrant hockey market to being an apathetic market that is irrelevant to the hockey world. I wish this stubborn and non- talking owner would sail away in his tax write off big boat.

Would you rather they win or be right?

You are being silly.

Woo! That's literally insane

I would bet at least 275 are best ball which can be easy pickings for someone with a better educated guess and take little time to get involved in.

Buffalo loves their Sabres. It's that simple

You don't have to be a winner to get loved by your fan base

It's not that simple (and I think we all know that), but I love this sentiment just the same.

The tire pumpers are in midseason form.

So the rest of the season will be sold out?

Down, boy. Down.

You know better.

I have no frame of reference for the more typical fan in and around Buffalo, but I suspect Sabrespace is not reflective of the "typical" fan.

VERY true. I often take the light rail as part of my commute home on game nights. I venture that not a single person I see getting on the train headed downtown has ever been on this message board. I envy them.

Given the tenor of this board, I think it’s a little surprising that less than 1000 seats remain for Thursday’s game.

Remain? I thought that was the expected attendance

You may not be aware of it but you were with your response. That's okay. I'm not bothered by it.

It's just when I read screeds like yours, followed by "I hope I'm wrong," I wonder if that's true. it's like the guy who calls WGR and says he's not demanding anyone be fired, but then reads a laundry list of grievances with Sean McDermott and/or Brandon Beane.
