Does anyone really think Ehlers is considering Buffalo?😂😂

Yeah

But, I'm an idiot nut bag, so there's a caveat 😁

St Louis is a dump. But you don’t hear their GM have issues attracting free agents.

Have they been attracting high end free agents? I can’t really think of anything major from them other than the RFAs last year.

Damn, Suter would’ve been a nice pickup for Sabres. Good move by Blues.

The Blues are now 2.5 million over the cap and have quite a few forwards. Gotta wonder if the Sabres could snag one with Byram.

But who would it take to balance out the money that Byram would get, plus that $2.5 million?

Taylor Hall vibes all around lol.

So he'll sign with the Sabres, score about 18 points in 40 games and be traded for a JAG forward and a 2nd round pick in February?

Robert Thomas and Jordan Kyrou both earn $8m per season. Kyrou been talked about a lot this off-season but if I'm the Sabres I'd push for Thomas as he plays C and the Blues have Schenn and Suter who can play C at a top 6 spot. Yet both have NYC so we'd have to convince them to come here.

There's no chance in hell St Louis offers to Thomas because they singed Suter. That's a 3rd line center.

So you’re saying 2 years a $4 million second day signing doesn’t free up their top guys? He’s a nice addition, but that contract screams filler.

I'm just looking at a way for them to lose cap space and get Bynam and way for them to sign him. Let me ask would you trade Bynam and Kulich or Helenius for Thomas? I'm just talking hypothetical as doubt Adams would do it.

it does put them over the cap by $2.5M.

They waived Nick Leddy, who makes approximately the same amount, in order to create space.
