Have they been attracting high end free agents? I can’t really think of anything major from them other than the RFAs last year. Edited July 2 by shrader 1 Quote

Robert Thomas and Jordan Kyrou both earn $8m per season. Kyrou been talked about a lot this off-season but if I'm the Sabres I'd push for Thomas as he plays C and the Blues have Schenn and Suter who can play C at a top 6 spot. Yet both have NYC so we'd have to convince them to come here. Quote

So you’re saying 2 years a $4 million second day signing doesn’t free up their top guys? He’s a nice addition, but that contract screams filler. Quote

I'm just looking at a way for them to lose cap space and get Bynam and way for them to sign him. Let me ask would you trade Bynam and Kulich or Helenius for Thomas? I'm just talking hypothetical as doubt Adams would do it. Edited July 3 by The Jokeman Quote

Wonder when a team will call a players bluff on that one. "Oh yeah, Buffalo is willing to offer you 10+ mil a year? Well that's to rich for our blood, enjoy the wings!" "Ok, ok, we will take your offer of league minimum for the next 10 years....." Quote
PerreaultForever Posted July 3 Report Posted July 3 Orlov signing in San Jose makes me think he'd have played anywhere for the money. Picking up Leddy might work for them too. Short term vets while your youth develop, what a concept. Quote
Gatorman0519 Posted July 3 Report Posted July 3 The Sabres will be eliminated by thanksgiving yet again. Rinse repeat. 1 Quote
