This announcer for the Vegas game is terrible.

We Get it. EDM has had some comeback games,… but it's one nothing in the 1st GD period. Settle down.

Just like I've heard talk about an all Canadian final.....a little early for that kind of hyperbole as well

I still don’t know why everyone wastes their hate on the hurricanes. It’s not the hurricanes fault that the Sabres were injured in 06

I was living in South Carolina during that run

I ate a LOT of 💩 from the locals during that series. They were barely interested in the sport, and my emotional investment was used against me

"Eeen (my first name is Ian), what's ahh-sing?" That low country drawl STILL annoys me 😃

"We're beating you and this is yall yankee's sport"

Somehow, the civil war isn't a dead subject among plenty o' Dixieland folk, and some were real annoying about it!

Plus, that franchise will ALWAYS be the Whale to me (my FAV logo of ALL the big four sports)

Plenty of reasons to loathe that trash can franchise

Eichel to Olofsson. Do I need to add anything?

And Olofsson with two.  Did he ever score two in one game while on Buffalo?

Pretty sure he did, and it's not like he's a great player now. He's still a one dimensional offensive guy with limitations but we constantly see good teams able to find roles for these Sabre cast offs and it speaks to the inability of this organization to properly construct rosters. I mean Quinn, this year, was most definitely not an upgrade on VO. He might be later, but not so far.

Ya, after they didn't cash in on that 5 minute PP I thought Vegas was destined to win this one but no such luck. So yes, maybe Jack got undressed on that play but overall he played a really strong game. There's no denying he's been Vegas' best player.

If I remember correctly he scored 2 empty net goals in the same game.

VO is pretty much in the same roll he was here in the pre Granato days. He was one of the few who floundered under Don. I do think he started to play better defense under Don. No matter what though he was not going to sign back here for 1 million after making 4.7. He got a real nice contract here because we had to get to the cap floor. For whatever reason he never seemed like he was very reliable. even in Vegas he seems to go in and out of the lineup for unknown reasons.

Quinn was asked to do more, he played more games than VO, and played 2nd line a lot (too much).

VO   56G   15G 14A   29Pts  +17     VO had his first ever + season.  Looks like Vegas got really good production out of VO in only 56 games.

JQ   74G   15G  24A  39Pts  -18      JQ had a rough year, seemed to be thinking and timid at times.   Could it be a hangover affect from injuries?  Could it be the new system?  Could it be the malaise of playing on a bad team for 3 straight seasons?

JQ struggled a lot early and mid season, he got better towards the end of the season playing less minutes and on a lower line.   I don't have the analytics but I will bet he looked bad when paired with Cozens.

Is anyone really surprised that VO has a good season for Vegas?

Vegas has better everything than Buffalo.  Their owner set winning as a priority, not just a slogan.   He gets the best he could and he does not stand pat. They have one of the best FO's in the league.  They are a good model to follow on how to run a hockey team.

Thanks for bringing this up.  More reasons to move on from Adams.

What normal team pays VO $4.7M because they have to get to the cap floor and yet wont go out and get veteran help to fill obvious needs?

Another blatant example of the Adams not doing the smart thing.   Overpay mediocre players to get to your self-inflicted internal cap rather than improve the team with the same money.  We needed a goalie and help on defense and still do.    "No Blockers" strikes again.

Analyzing the past two seasons can get sickening, just about every decision Adams made was unconventional and wrong.

Who else is getting sick of McDavid and Draisaitl never getting hit. I felt this same way when Patrick Kane was in his prime. It’s the playoffs these players need to be hit and hit often, it ain’t ***** pickup hockey. Hit these star players every chance you get like McAvory did to McDavid during the 4 Nations.
