He’s thrown that same pass to Coleman several times in the past, actually. Problem is, Keon too often fails to make the catch.

Agree K-9. To your first point, he certainly has. But I don't recall that happening when a DB is draped all over Coleman. It's the second point that led me to my comment. I just don't think Josh trusts Keon in crucial situations any longer.

My pet theory: Keon is one of those young athletes whose mother (or others playing a mother's role) just babied the sh1t out of him. Made sure he was awake at the right time. Made sure he was on time for things. Packed his lunch with sandwich crusts cut off (this is a metaphor). And otherwise ran his life so that he stayed on a good path.

He's adrift now. Too immature to make a difference in the insanely competitive, hyper-professionalized NFL.

Aren't there people he can hire to step in and play the same role, keeping him on the straight and narrow?

Oh, I think there are. Is he open to their help? I'm guessing not.

The time prior to this that he got disciplined (I forget for what (was it the New England game?)), I said that I wished his mom would move in with him in Buffalo.

He's the offense's version of Aaron Maybin. Really immature I think. Get Eric Wood to come down from the booth and scream at him 'Earn your fuc*ing money!'

So you are saying he should take up painting?

I hear ya

I used to enjoy TBD gameday chats

But, that was BEFORE they became relevant again

Now, it's a cesspool of newbie trash with borderline-brain-damaged "hot takes" with some old friends scattered among the muck

For all of the "good" that social media provides, in the tradition of the human experience, once something becomes territory of the masses, it starts to suck

WR distributed very evenly between Shavers, Shakir, Samuel, Palmer, and (a little less) Davis

Davis seemed like he was pivotal when he was in.  His connection with Josh gave me Cole Beasley vibes- the reliable guy who ran the route predictably and caught the ball when targeted.

Previously he was the Deep Threat Guy.  Possibly he's in a new role now?

Part of me thinks this has to be the plan. OTOH, Knox is so connected to this team -- maybe he'll end up taking an extension/restructure that allows the team to keep him (at a more reasonable number).

It's possible. Looking at the numbers right now, they save $9.6 million by dropping him this offseason (~$17 million 2026 cap hit vs ~$7.4 million dead cap). I'm not sure what kind of salary-fu is required to make the numbers work to keep him.

Over/Under on Keon playing Thursday? Davis and Shavers deserve to play

The Hardman slot in the game day roster  is probably open.

Davis might not be physically able to play on a short week after playing for the first time in a year.

Davis was interviewed today saying he is ready to roll against Houston and feels good.
