His injury makes Nemec the automatic top D off the board. I like him at 8 (where we certainly will draft. Finish 7th but get jumped in the lottery.)

I will you bet you money that Nemec will not be available at 8.

Nemec is the best defender in this class currently and I am not sure there is anyone to challenge him with Jiricek out.

Oops. I meant Jiricek at 8. Nemec shouldn't make it past 4. The top lottery teams are a void of RHD talent and it's likely at least one of them gets bumped down a spot or two.

The Kraken barely have a system (and only Ottavainen as an RHD prospect). Arizona has Soderstrom and nothing else. Montreal needs to find their next Weber.

Not saying that either of you are wrong, but in McKenzie’s mid season pole, NHL scouts had Jiricek at 7 and Nemec at 9.

You aren't going to win games with out a number 1 center .

Did every one forget the ott days lets not do that again

List the centers on that team other than Ott

Which players in this draft do you project to #1 center

Cant remember if hecht was still around . I believe it was ennis / cody

nazar, savoie, geekie and if they dont go center i want slafkovsky

I don't think all 3 of them will even be centers, let alone 1st line centers.

Cozens, Tage, Mitts, Krebs

V

Ott, Coho, and Ennis

They don't seem comparable at all

Do teams win games without any top-4 quality RHD?

The Sabres have Mittelstadt, Thompson, Cozens, and Krebs as young prospective top-6 centers.

And what are you calling a number 1 C?  One of the best 32 C’s in the league?

These are all question marks all of them could be wingers .

Tage is ok for a 3rd line center

What centres in this draft are more likely to put up 60 points than Krebs, Mitts, Cozens and/or Thompson?

Wright, maybe Cooley but he is on par with these guys.

I'd be concerned Savoie ends up a winger. Nazar I thought already was.

But they didn't build around him all they did was trade and Rebuild and tank .

It still blows my mind ROR , sam , jack and  We didn't sniff the playoffs one time lol

That's because we had a crappy Risto playing 25 min a night with no defense

That proves the point though. A hockey team is only as good as the sum of its parts. You need good players everywhere, a generational player somewhere specifically is nice but far from necessary and even further from being guaranteed as a contender.
