Name the first 18 coaches in Sabres history

In chrono order. No cheating. First in, so I get it easy.

One at a time please.

I was hoping for one of those online quizzes where you list them (what's that site called?).  I could never do them in order, but I'd be curious to see how many I could name.

Craig Ramsay. Although I feel like I may have missed one of Scotty's burps.

Sabres coaches are hired to be fired.  After Ruff, Bowman is second with 369 games, Muckler 3rd at 268.  The 2nd longest coach without also serving as GM is Floyd Smith at 241 games.

Technically Smith is our second coach. He coached one game in 1972.

Jimmy Roberts between Nielsen and Bowman.

Also Ted Sator between Ramsey and Dudley

And then it was really good for a long time, and then the Sabres were sent to wander in the desert for forty years.

I assume you mean Lindy Ruff.

Floyd Smith is actually third (of non GM coaches).  I forgot TN's had two stints with 308 games.

Of course I mean Lindy Ruff.  Who do you think I am?

Question:  Does Nolan count twice, like Grover Cleveland?
