Nailed it! I did not think the Jays would still have the best record in the AL, but here they are. Hoping the Sox can hold onto a wild card and get invited to the dance. Gotta sweat it out for eight more games. 1 Quote

Ya they should get in No Sox. I am a Yankee fan, but they are not kidding anyone, even if they make the playoffs. Would like to see Cleveland surge and make the playoffs. No Sox. 1 Quote

Would like to see Cleveland surge and make the playoffs. No Sox. I'm not big into baseball anymore. As a little kid I liked the Blue Jays (got to go see some games in person) but as I got to be an older kid, teenager, and into my 20s, I became a Yankees fan simply because they were on TV so much. I really don't care at all about the Yankees anymore, and I think part of that is they just don't seem that likeable, the players or the team in general, for the last decade or so. For those that are really big Yankee fans, do you seem like the teams in recent years have just been less 'likeable' (for lack of better word), or as big time fans are you able to see through that? My Yankee fandom goes back to the mid-60's and the end of the Mantle era. I loved the mid 70's teams and the Billy Martin- Reggie Jackson era. I'm stuck with them as a fan but I do agree that this version of the Yankees is not very likable. Baseball in general is no longer a big thing for me. 1 Quote
K-9 Posted Saturday at 06:43 PM Report Posted Saturday at 06:43 PM As a founding member of the Otto Velez fan club when the Jays first came into being, I congratulate them on their fine season. But I hope my Yankees kick the ever lovin’ crap out of ‘em should they get the chance. If not and the Yankees get eliminated before then, I’d be happy to see the Jays bring a ship back to my Canadian brethren. But only if my Yankees don’t get that chance to kick the ever lovin’ crap out of ‘em. Quote
shrader Posted Monday at 03:43 PM Report Posted Monday at 03:43 PM The eagles’ color commentator broke out a “do you believe in miracles” for their game winning field goal block yesterday. That guy needs one hell of a public shaming. Yeah, public shaming are dumb, but man, so is that guy. Quote

That guy needs one hell of a public shaming. Yeah, public shaming are dumb, but man, so is that guy. Did he really say that about that play? Does he not realize the Rams have been blowing big leads in nationally televised games (Fox's game of the week) going back to at least the days that Frank Reich was a Bill. There was a pretty great Monday Nighter back in the day. Not much miraculous in getting by them; more like a parlor trick than a miracle. 😉 Quote

They have a problem, but I think they manage to hang on to not only the East, but the 1 seed in the AL ... straight to the ALDS with home field. The world in their oyster and they are in the driver seat. Sherser (?????) should not have been in the rotation for at least two weeks now. Sorry to say it about one of the best of all time. 1 Quote

I think Max is going to bounce back just fine. One of the benefits of the veteran mind They’ll need him. Tony Taters back today. If he somehow goes yard, good things are gonna happen Quote
