If carolina wins we both have 88 points, 80 games played, and the same number of regulation + overtime wins. The tiebreaker would be head-to-head which carolina would win (assuming they win tonight). On the other hand, if the sabres win that would almost guarentee the canes MISS the playoffs. HUGE game fore both teams. What a stupid question right now? Wait 'til the game is over to ask that.
