  1. It could be Botterill or the pro scouts, but more likely it's Housley that has the info on Hutton. Hutton played in Nashville from 2013-2016, getting significant playing time filling in for injured Pekka Rinne. Housley was Assistant Coach in Nashville from 2013-2017.
  2. One unpinned thread. There and only there. Point to it in forum rules.
  3. He's expressing how much he cares about telling us how much he doesn't care, and he thinks it's edgy because he knows other people care. It's an affirmation that he understands how much other people care. Good move by the Beauts. I'm ecstatic that the best athletes in the sport have a forum for development beyond college and I'm equally ecstatic that Buffalo is a part of that.
  4. The #3 pick was unanimously already the third talent tier from the top of a weak draft and we would have leveraged our here-and-now 2nd best player to get that? I'm glad we passed.
  5. I hate Bettman, but this was inevitable. I wished they waited until he retired, but I also understand that the HHOF trys to induct builders before they die.
  6. Not sure if this link will work, on mobile: https://www.facebook.com/BuffaloSabres/videos/10156425791102954/ Can't tell if it's royal blue or just extremely bright lighting.
  7. The teaser for the presser had what looks like a royal blue jersey with Dahlin's nameplate on it.
  8. I think it's this. The "slope" of talent/chances within the 6th round is pretty flat for an individual year. But the Sabres might think this year is weak and next year's later rounds are just better overall.
  9. November.
  10. The photography on that was really good for being in the trenches at a crowded live event.
  11. I take Craig Button's exuberance with a grain of salt. But when he says Dahlin's ceiling is the best since Denis Potvin, who was drafted 45 years ago, that's notable. Several folks project Dahlin's ceiling at Lidstrom. Even more folks project his ceiling as better than Karlsson or Hedman or Ekblad. Even if different folks draw the line for "generational" differently, someone somewhere has projected this kid capable of achieving it. And no matter the label, I believe.
  12. I think they think he might end up on LTIR.
  13. I have a feeling that this was due to this draft a) being weaker after the top two and b) the prospects being grouped so closely together. Seems like: Tier 1 (Dahlin) Tier 2 (Svechnykov) Tier 3-10 (Zadina, Quinn, Dobson, et al) Tier 10-40+ (all those other weirdos) Why trade assets for someone when your guy is falling to you or you think they're all equal?
  14. That's a nice thing. Maybe it helps him feel at home and stay well behaved off the ice.
  15. Haa... Veleno to DET.
  16. Gotta consider Bode Wilde too.
  17. Gotta consider him if he gets to 32. Lots of folks had him at 10-15.
  18. CSS has Jay O'Brien at 32. Wat.
  19. Jesus. 25th in CSS rankings.
  20. I guess it was wide open.
  21. Det takes Zadina. Gold.
  22. We have Dahlin. That's what's happening.
  23. Holy moly.
  24. Tkachuk slips, mon takes jesper kiniighjkemi.
