  1. Then get here and do it before the entire city figures you for Vyacheslav Kozlov.
  2. Zadorov (#16 overall), Grigorenko (#12 overall), Compher (#35 overall), Pick #31 overall (traded for #39, AJ Greer) -For- (two years of O'Reilly and) Berglund, Sobotka, Thompson (#26 overall), 1st round (top ten protected), 2nd round ===== If Compher (#35) is the 2nd rounder, Zadorov (#16) is the 1st rounder, Thompson (#26) is the #31, this leaves: Grigorenko (#12 overall) for Berglund, Sobotka ===== Are Berglund and Sobotka worth a #12 overall pick?
  3. Hutton finished 11th among all goalies in GSAA.
  4. Alright, show your cards. Who wants Botts dead? If you do, I would guess it's because of the ROR trade. Have at it in this thread.
  5. Tell that to season ticket holders.
  6. Took the words right out of my mouth. I came into this thread to post this. A God damned Taylor Pyatt.
  7. We did exactly what we should not have done. We took a piece part package in exchange for O'Reilly. We needed quality assets that will help this team now, and that didn't happen. This is the kind of move a team does, the kind of move this team did, in order to sell all assets and tank. This team is continuing to tank. We will lose for Hughes, and we will likely lose the lottery.
  8. It might have been leaked, but I think it was made officially official today...?
  9. Larsson spent a year in the AHL before coming to Rochester and Buffalo, and then his development stalled as he bounced between Buffalo and Rochester for two years before finally becoming a fixture on the fourth line. He has a career high 17 points in an NHL season. He originally projected to a quality 3rd line center that was capable of 35 points in his first pro year. When he was traded to Buffalo, those were the expectations, with the understanding that it might take a year on the 4th line to develop that. That never happened. (And it doesn't help that he was injured half of last season.) Even to this day, his role on the team is to be a proficient defensive center, and he struggles in this role.
  10. That's putting a lot of faith in Arizona, unless you're factoring the jersey bump. Also, Montreal is trending like a meteor.
  11. It's possible that either Pilut or Olofsson or both make the lineup sometime this year. If the SHL were a weaker European league or if they were in Canadian Juniors, this wouldn't be the case, but the SHL is a quarter step down from the KHL, and I expect these guys to step in, make the adjustment, and push for low level roster spots. If they get Larsson'd up, that may not happen that soon, but it's possible.
  12. *self-inflicted dues
  13. As soon as the Canadian media smelled discontent by ROR, however justified, they got into overblown trade rumors faster than ROR gets into Tim Horton's. And even if it's not real, any GM that sees on TV can't afford to not throw something at Botterill to see if it sticks.
  14. Didn't see it before: OEL extended, $8.25M x 8 years.
  15. And I'm looking for a top six scoring winger that doesn't knee in the head, but that's already off the table, ain't it? This could further cool the market for ROR.
  16. That's not exactly what went on there, but they don't get any favors for Milbury.
  17. Well, we now know to tie Reinhart and ROR's skates together. And Casey Mittelstadt will do something, but we don't know what. 24th. 22nd if Bogosian can actually play this year and Eichel isn't out more than 15 games.
  18. And some young fans don't know why we hate the Flyers.
  19. Derp. Would have been nice, but I wasn't married to it. $2.75 is a little stiff.
  20. As is, he's the second best LW on the roster behind Sheary, presuming Reinhart or ROR or whatever don't play LW. He's followed by Girgenens and Larsson, who are racing each other for 4th line LW.
  21. And you were talking about Riley Nash, not Rick Nash, I say yes definitely. Versatile middle six forward than can be a good 3rd line defensive center and has the potential to be responsible speedy winger. Depth and talent we need.
  22. I'm in on Calvin de Haan. E5. Legitimate #4 LD stay-at-home type, and that's something we definitely need and have money for. Don't overpay, and we're good.
  23. No, you're right. But it's also one of the few times enabled by the CBA and modern player movement market in which most teams can attempt to improve their rosters while spending no player assets, only cash and cap space, to do so. We have cash and cap space. And we have needs. And we were dead last. I think fans are hoping Botterill will get out there and drink responsibly.
  24. I still agree with this. I still lean more towards keeping ROR, which makes my desired return in any ROR trade absolutely stupid.
