  1. Win streak at six. Four of those against top ten teams.
  2. And a league-leading win streak at six. Toronto with four, all others with two or worse.
  3. I know we're evolving, but the series records are brutal. http://mcubed.net/nhl/buf/pit.shtml We haven't won in that building since 2013 and we're 6-24 against PIT in the 2010's. The 2000's weren't much better: 14-25-4. This is not an easy game. Pittsburgh's 2-7-1 in their last 10 and undoubtedly going to be playing desperate hockey against a Sabres team playing its 3rd game in four days. This is not an easy game.
  4. Also, not news: Milbury is a *****. Anson Carter is not a *****, he gets it.
  5. Ha, just finished too. Sir Mix A Lot sez: DOINK DOUBLEUP DOINK DOINK
  6. Not sure if it was figured out yet, but that was AJ Mleczko on color. Gold in Nagano, Silver in Salt Lake, national title with Harvard. Patty Kaz winner. Did some work for NESN, got hired to NBCSN just this year. First woman color commentator in an NHL Playoff in the 2nd round last year. Also got hired to MSG for Islanders this year as a studio analyst. Her cadence/timing was a little rough around the edges during play, but experience will polish that. Her work during packages in intermission (where she's had more practice) was sharp. I think she shows a lot of promise and I look forward to hearing more.
  7. I was there for that. Everyone was mystified and confusion quickly turned to anger for Bruins fans. Hillllllarrrrious. Didn't quite outdo the Eli Manning trade announcement though. Everything was swell until after the trade announcement started at 8:49 until the full terms at 9:17... Crowd: YEAAHHHHHHH [and their 1st and 3rd round picks in next year's draft] AWWWWBOOOOOOOOOO
  8. Note that Skinner's never scored more than 63 points in a season, but he's been averaging 28 goals per season over the last five. I think he's due for a raise over his current $5.75M AAV, and he would attract significant attention on the open market. I think anything less than $6.5M would be favorable to the Sabres. $8M would account for his open-market value and very likely keep him here with an offer he'd be foolish to turn down. Not many LWs make more than $8M. Highest paid LWs: Ovechkin $9.54M Benn $9.5M Parise $7.5M Bobby Ryan $7.25M Evander Kane $7M JVR $7M Gaudreau $6.75M Kovalchuk $6.25M Marchand $6.1M $56M/7 years = $8M AAV. That would keep him without a doubt. $49M/7 years = $7M AAV. That'd be fair to both parties. $45M/7 years = $6.42M AAV. That'd be great value for the Sabres, still keep Skinner in lofty company, but could be easily matched or overpaid on the open market.
  9. After the past few years, I am absolutely, 100.00% alright with this. This is what progress looks like.
  10. Bulls ranked #25 in the AP Poll after that road win over #13 WVU. First time being ranked in the program's history. https://collegebasketball.ap.org/poll/2019/2?fbclid=IwAR3jcjS0b7ksxQjlpOyF8cbxlFAWNyxt5V_SQ7NWZriL4gWcHM_u4LCRRE4 There are a LOT of historically good schools that got votes but didn't make the cut.
  11. Article on Szabados on the front page of AP today. https://apnews.com/6a9ca05e7bbd4eaca1a3ad3d058a4599
  12. I like the Cincinnati style chili down here, but let's be serious, no amount of chili and cheese is going to make these dogs hold a ***** candle to Ted's. I want Ted's.
  13. Marnell with the EN to make it 4-1 Cyclones with 2:31 to go.
  14. Wideman feeds Vail for a breakaway and he puts it backhand five for a short to make it 3-1. At 4:20 into the 3rd. Nice.
  15. Pascal Aquin ties it up on a rebound. Vaive gets the go-ahead about 30 seconds later with a sweet tip from a sharp-angle shot to make it 2-1 late in the 2nd.
