  1. I voted Clubber as worst -- but not bad meaning bad, but meaning good.
  2. Cool that they got Pominville to model the butterknife retros.
  3. Big ups for science, massive public investment in matters of public health, and a healthy motivation for corporate profits. (Did I get those right? Did I get some of them wrong?)
  4. For sure. There are established metrics, thresholds. Of course, those may vary from organization to organization (i.e., the NFL’s standards may differ from, say, a local college). Also, there’s some “art” to the scientific process of determining who’s in and who’s out. I’d been fairly ambivalent about what Norman’s brought to the team. Him having Covid isn’t helping.
  5. ^ Agreed on @irregularly irregular’s post. It may be that we’ll need annual (or semi-annual?) doses.
  6. Well-taken -- thanks. So, it's a thing now for Bills Nation. Which is great. Other fan bases should emulate this ... if'n they can. 😏
  7. I hear you. There’s something *very* specific going on with Bills Nation and Josh Allen. Maybe not all of it entirely healthy? On balance though, it’s setting up to be beautiful and enduring. Prominent NFL players have close family members pass away several (?) times a season. You rarely (never?) hear anything like this coming from it. Also worth pointing out that the Andy Dalton experience greased the skids. Finally, it’s often the case that people need to be (feel) inspired in order to give to a charitable cause. I think about something like Live Aid. Why did Queen need to rock the stage so that comfortable English people would help starving people in Africa? Not sure - but it’s an old story.
  8. Fair question. I'm sure they do. Phillips especially. I'd sort of forgotten what a beast he was. Also, I know it's a simple typo, but I love the name Shag Lawson.
  9. i'm saying: tiktok for me is like watching a form of television. it's bite-sized, no attention span television. but television just the same. the content that people create for that platform is fun. here's another favourite of mine from that site (huge warning for rough language):
  10. Same to you. Thanks for the adapted lyrics.
  11. Kiiiiirk. You have no sneeze guards. (~5:00 mark)
  12. Well, maybe that's right. I do seem to recall a graphic in the early days of the pandemic where the message was that basic masks cut down substantially on the wearer's spreading of droplets (70%?), and cut down a bit on the wearer's exposure to other people's droplets (30%?).
  13. Ha. Not a'tall. Do yourself a favor (or impose a monkey paw curse on yourself) and browse her profile's content (all of which is pretty similarly themed). There's no denying she is sexy as hell ... in her own peculiar, weird way. Which is always the best way. Just for example: That smoldering look she gives at the start of The Hustle video? Oh, mama.
  14. This chick, though. This chick is exactly why TikTok rules. https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMJ9F7w5F/
  15. I frickin’ love TikTok. Roughly, my feed’s algorithm involves babies, dogs, farms/livestock, fishing, people lip syncing comedy routines, and a grab bag of what’s pervasive on the app (like the longboard ocean spray guy). Best app on my phone. I had seen that one. While I identified with some of it, I found it just a lil too ragey for my funny bone taste.
  16. Lol - I’m just about done pretending thar I know anything.
  17. I think this is right. If you're not a high-priority person - aged, immuno-compromised, front-line worker - you're gonna wait. It seems like spring/early summer 2021 is when non-priority folks can look to get a vaccination. OTOH, if/when other vaccinations come to market, that could speed the process. Then, of course, we could get into the business of which vaccination is best, etc.
  18. So, yeah. About that.
  19. To borrow some current slang from Gen Z: "Bills fans just built different."
  20. Lol - all good, man. It just struck me as funny. I had not realized there was an edit. Hmm. I dunno. My thought is that the OCA could establish special parts in each judicial district. Mini-courts that do nothing but mask violations. Or maybe it could be accomplished through some sort of administrative agency?
  21. I tend to doubt, though, whether local justice courts and city courts would be able to handle the volume of cases coming before them.
  22. That gets tricky to police. How about citations for violations? No mens rea required. $35 for the first one, $70 for the next, $200 for a third, and so on. I'm lightly chuckling because you edited out the part where he offered a level of culpability in his post. Anyway, I think the better course would be criminal violations, like speeding. It doesn't matter if your speedometer is broken, etc.
  23. No need to apologize, and shame on me if and when I fail to be civil. The matter of essentially regulating the hospitality industry out of existence is one that vexes me greatly. I see both (all?) sides of that issue. I think the answer has to include a large government stimulus for restaurants, bars.
  24. Yeah - I try not to correct needlessly, but this mask misconception seems pervasive. Chris Christie was quoted as saying, in the midst of his bad bout of COVID-19, that he should have worn a mask all along. The implication was clearly that the mask could have protected him. Dummkopf.
  25. Masks are intended to protect other people, not oneself. I need everyone else to wear a mask if I want the protection that simple masks can afford.
