Ralph Krueger needs to go - like yesterday.

Along the same lines: You can't motivate professional athletes out of a funk when they know in their hearts, minds, and bones that the team's approach/strategy/system is a failure and that the team is getting sh1t pumped as a result. RaKru sees the funk -- he's just unaware that he's mostly responsible for it. -

This is total banana pants. -
How bad is it? The Sabres compared to the Tank

Ha - it's a bit of both, depending on the situation. In this case, it was a search for an eye roll. -

I was going to add that the FO's of those tank teams were trying to lose. Plenty of proud (AHL-level) hockey players on those tank teams that did their level best every night. -
Fair. And what of DiPofo? He got to wet the beak a little as well. These are strange times. It would not shock me if the Pegulas were open to paying less in cash in favour of giving up an unliquidated stake.
-
And maybe ... maybe the person who's qualified to clean up that mess is ... just hear me out ... maybe that person (well, that person's agent) is asking to be compensated in part through a very small equity stake in the franchise (and also proposed that he serve as an alternate governor, or whatever it was that Larry Quinn (and Ted Black?) used to do).
-
But if you're not looking to spend cash, offering a small stake in your enterprise is a convenient way to compensate talent.

Takes some practice, old feller.

Thanks for logging on and posting. I know better than to punch down, yeah.

Yuck. Now Twitter's filled with the Big J's just dunking on the blogger who started the rumour. Shoutout to @john wawrow who noted that he "apologized" to his most trusted source when he deigned to ask the question. Don't clutch so hard that you snap the string on those pearls, John!

Saw that. Screw Tim Graham, though, eh?
-
My thought is that the "for sale" piece of it could be tied to a proposal whereby the expert they're bringing in would be given a very small stake in the franchise - like 5%. Didn't Quinn and DiPofi (?) have those kinds of interests when OSP sold the team?
-
Not sure. I don't much care for Tim Graham, so I'll take his stuff with a grain of salt as well. This rumour does not imply as much.
-
Frank Wolf is the person who got the rumour going.

Also. Holy Sh1tballs, this is big news.

While not without risk, I think this is a welcome development.

I don't think I would trust any hockey exec to trade Eichel at this juncture -- it would so obviously be selling low on a guy who's a clear 1C. We've longed for a 2C since ROR was traded -- I don't want to get back into asking about a 1C.
-
Oof. It's the Isles and their successful brand of low event hockey. I'm just looking for more than Dylan Cozens to play with a pulse. I'll tune in.

I appreciate several of the recent posts upthread. Emotionally, I feel that urge for the franchise to do anything and everything in order to generate the change(s) that is (are) so obviously needed -- except of course doing anything with new folk hero Dylan Cozens. But rationally, it makes no sense to think about moving on from Eichel. Bet your bottom dollar that the Sabres would get hosed in any such trade. It would almost certainly set the franchise back, somehow further. For now, more suffering. But let's keep the baby/-ies while tossing the bath water.

I'm definitely at a point where he's the only player that I really, really don't want to see them trade. The Workhorse of Whitehorse.
