  1. I'm betting it'll be Yeldon because of pass protection. Unless Williams is good at it too? Hopefully that's the case - as you said, he looked hungry.
  2. I think this is generally correct. I've seen him alter course slightly, at times. I mean - we are all biased by our interpretation of events as they unfold. Those interpretations inevitably influence how we understand subsequent events. Hamilton's biases are just really significant, IMO, and he isn't able (or just doesn't want) to adjust for them. He's not the only sports reporter who does this. I think it's a function of the fact that they write a lot of their copy while the game's ongoing, and then look for players or coaches to endorse what they wrote.
  3. That's what did in Adrian Peterson. He took out what amounted to payday loans -- $2M cash now in consideration of payments over time of, say, $2.15M. Pretty easy to get upside down on those kinds of things, especially if the money is spent quickly and foolishly.
  4. i would not assume that his debts are associated with financing assets like homes or other real estate. if that were the case, he'd be in much better shape. my sense is that his debt is mostly the product of financing a lifestyle he could not afford (private air travel, hush payments, gambling, $10,000 bar tabs, and such). Cautionary tale, sure. But "very sad"?
  5. I thought maybe more Ha - nice. One of the great colour commentary calls in the moment by Lorentz on that one -- amidst all that excitement, noting both the role of the forward at the point and Emery yet again failing to move laterally.
  6. I’m just saying they’re both athletes with career earnings in the multiple 10s of millions who are somehow insolvent. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/07/25/adrian-peterson-faces-debt-woes-how-athletes-can-botch-their-finances.html
  7. This is not surprising. Evander Kane and Adrian Peterson are birds of a feathers. Broke-ass birds.
  8. Man, that hurts. My sense is that his pass protection is better than Singletary's. Not sure how Week 17 superstar Antonio Williams does with that sort of stuff. Yeldon is presumably a better option than Williams when it comes to picking up blitzers.
  9. ~2-second clip of a hit by Devils' prospect Aarne Talvitie. Wowza. https://video.twimg.com/tweet_video/ErdTXDVW4AEcDw2.mp4
  10. well that one was weird, for sure.
  11. Given how much work goes into these things, I'm gonna say that over-simplifies matters. Indy was clearly doing things that took away what the Bills like to do - so maybe credit to them rather than faulting our coordinator.
  12. Gimme gimme.
  13. Skinner seems to feed on, off chaos. He seems to rely on a fair amount of freelancing. He does play with his hair on fire, which is great. It appears that RaKru doesn't like his game. Finally, it really struck (strikes) me that Carolina got better without him on the team.
  14. The Ravens as a matchup make my sphincter clench up. They like to run the ball and can hurt you with their tight ends. That's an unfavourable formula for Buffalo, imo. Shoot - that's basically what the Colts just did, and it damn near worked! Even so: Go Bills.
  15. At the risk of being immodest, I think I coined that one (Concept of Kassian). The alliteration made it pop.
  16. Shoutout to (one of) the original "concept" guy(s)!
  17. Poems = a bunch of words? C'mon, man. Vibe with it. Gah. He's gonna fully confirm his bust status.
  18. Fair deuce! I have no idea. Which is why I think this is a bad - very bad - thing. Oh, and I meant to post this last night and can't recall whether I did.
  19. That really, really stinks, especially in the wake of the new contract (the price of which many here questioned) and the value that RaKru clearly places on Zemgus. I saw a quote from RaKru yesterday to the effect that Zemgus brings a very specific set of elements to the game and therefore fills a specific role on this team (he used some RaKru speak to convey that; I just can't recall what it was ). My post above leads me to doubt that either of those two players would be tapped to fill Zemgus's role. But stranger things have happened, I suppose.
  20. McKenzie as a WR4 being a valuable, dangerous skill (gadget) player is just the sort of thing that championship teams tend to have.
  21. I also heard that the stronger immune reaction will generally come from the 2nd dose.
  22. That squares with my understanding. I'd come to conclude (edit: based on what I read, heard), after time, that the outcome of that game was (is) a strike against the legacies of Kelly and Marchibroda. There was something I read or heard as well that Belichick had this notion that the K-Gun would simply be unable to resist throwing the ball, which turned out to be true. That seems like the plan. I am guessing that Brown is still not quite right, and that his roof-tearing gear is compromised for now. Putting Stills out there from time to time and just sending him on go-routes could serve real purpose.
  23. So grim. As far as I am aware, the U.S. has heretofore avoided Italy's dilemma from March/April, at which time care was being rationed such that older, sicker people were being left to die, basically.
  24. Jesus Christmas on a popsicle stick.
