Folks are making too big a deal out of this. He's still a young kid. It was a mistake, it's not like he hurt anyone (see Kane, Patrick). No need to suspend him for any amount of time, he's human.

Anybody else have a feeling Jack Eichel isn't going to do much this scrimmage and fans will leave disappointed? Seems like expectations have been set way to high for this. A sold out arena in July to watch an 18 year old kid? I have no doubt he'll be great someday, but the hype for this skate is just a bit over the top IMO, and that often backfires more often than not.

I don't care if it's a live stream of a potato sitting on a table. If the fans want to watch it they should stream it, especially since this has been what everybody has been waiting to see (Eichel playing a game in a Sabres uniform) after 2 years of suffering.

This is a big slap in the face to Sabres fan who don't live in Buffalo. It's not like Pegula can't afford to put a live stream on the web for this. Whoever made this decision deserves to be fired. This is 2015, not 1997.

Yeah I noticed that, good point. And either the goalies were severely out of position or he just makes them look foolish. However it's worth noting that he's creating that separation from the defender using his quickness, so there's that. I don't think a hulking defenseman will be able to keep up with him. Eichel is more powerful, but McDavid has that explosive quickness, change of direction we haven't seen by any player on the ice ever in the history of the game.

It's multiple choice, scantron, must use a #2 pencil only. hate to bring this up, I know it's over and done with, but Connor McDavid scored 5 goals the other day in a scrimmage. Watching the highlights, I couldn't help but feel jealous and a bit angry. He's so quick with the puck and explosive. While I'm thrilled Buffalo has Eichel, the comparisons between the two will never ever go away. We clinched Eichel on the second to last day of the season. If there were a few more games left, changes are we wouldn't have him, so we shouldn't complain, but I will anyway.
