  1. Interesting because Kris Baker - who was there and watched the games - said Samson played well in Traverse City. What makes you think he "didn't do anything"? The boxscore?
  2. Do not, under any circumstances, even think about messing with Carolina Reapers. Trust me.
  3. Does Kaleta make the Sabres' regular season roster?
  4. Sabres games will be called by Duff and Paul Hamilton and streamed at http://www.espn1520.com/
  5. Do you guys know if the Live The Life mode (it's the one I use most) is still in 360 version of '15?
  6. On Wednesday, a bucket of cold water was tossed on the whole thing. Make that buckets of cold water. First, from NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly: “We are in no different position today with respect to expansion than we were the last time we answered the same questions,” he wrote in an email to National Post on Wednesday. “There has been interest expressed, we have and will listen to the interest, but we haven’t defined a process and certainly no decisions have been made.” Then, from outgoing MLSE CEO and president Tim Leiweke (per Toronto’s Fan 590): “The commissioner and I had other business this morning, so we talked for a while and this came up. I asked him, ‘did I miss a meeting?’ And he laughed and said, ‘no.’ “What I can tell you, 100 percent, as of this morning, for sure? This isn’t on the agenda right now.” http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2014/08/27/nhl-expansion-talks-emphatically-shot-down/
  7. Maybe it's nothing more than Palmer having a better camp in Chicago than Lewis had in Buffalo.
  8. I'm familiar with Warthogs - I see them flying in and out of NAS Oceana occasionally. And I don't disagree with you but only reiterate the responses in situations like this seem to based upon the race of the aggrieved.
  9. Government tyranny is only a thing when the "oppressed" are white, eg, Clive Bundy's armed standoff with federal agents. I wonder how that would have gone down if a group of black people took sniper positions and aimed at federal agents. Also, in the Bundy situation, the agents left the scene to diffuse things whereas in Ferguson, the police are guilty of escalating tensions.
  10. Spoiler within, highlight to read: Floyd Smith for Buffalo, SHK III dropping the puck, and Jean Beliveau for the Habs. The one on the right holding the paper sorta looks like Rick Azar, the old sports anchor for one of the TV stations (don't recall which one). As for the others, I got nothing...
  11. Just because you never heard of them doesn't mean they're bad hires.
  12. John Moore ‏@rinkrant 9m Watch for #Sabres to name Danny Flynn as new asst. coach to Ted Nolan. #Wildcats Hockey Ops Director signs multi year deal. John Moore @rinkrant · 3m Flinn and Nolan will be reunited a 3rd time. Worked together to bring #Wildcats #qmjhl championship (05/06) & also @NYIslanders (06/08).
  13. Rocket-Propelled Grenade. They are shoulder fired weapons. Think of them as modern day bazookas.
  14. Thanks to whichever Mod edited the thread title.
  15. Bucky Gleason ‏@TBNbucky 30s Sources: Sabres have reached an agreement with Hall of Famer Bryan Trottier to serve as assistant coach under Ted Nolan. Bucky Gleason ‏@TBNbucky 1m Trottier won seven Cups -- six as a player and one as coach in Colorado. He's been out of NHL coaching for years, but he brings experience.
  16. The right to bear arms is, like all of the Bill of Rights, not absolute. Eg, a civilian cannot (legally) buy an RPG, combat-ready tank, or hellfire missile. And Felons cannot legally own any firearms. In other words, most - including the courts - agree there is a line that should not be crossed. It seems the only debate is people disagreeing on where that line should be drawn.
  17. I know I'm in the minority here when it comes to wordmark logos but I really liked the old Jets logo. The current logo is atrocious. And I agree with the Whalers and Nords comments upthread - I loved those unis and logos even though I despised the teams.
  18. Probably so. I hope he's not too disappointed. Who knows for sure, but I think of him as an AHL player - he's welcome to prove me wrong this autumn!
  19. GMTM knows him from a couple of years in the Sens organization. Most likely a veteran presence for the Amerks blueline.
  20. The only reason I'm still interested in the NFL is the Bills.
  21. Agree. And since the Browns won four NFL titles before the Super Bowl era, we'll conveniently leave the Bills' two AFL titles of the list!
  22. Pretty sure that's a sentiment all Bills fans can agree on but I fear losing Pettine will prove to be a bigger loss than Byrd or Kiko. Really hope I'm proven wrong!
