I was watching the Anaheim feed of the Sabres game recently and their own announcer was pronouncing Lorentz's name "Lawrence." Now we've seen Lorentz's grandfather Jimmy play here for many years...When your own announcer doesn't know how to pronounce players on their own team, it seems they don't really care...

If the Sabres don't trade UPL, I'd send him down to the Amerks. This kid needs to be shaken up to play 60 minutes. I honestly don't think he has it in him, although I've been wrong before. (seldom) I just have no confidence in him. I really think Buffalo has to bring a different goalie to the organization at the trade deadline. Vejmelka is my choice.

I have given up on Luukonen. Too damn inconsistent. You have to score 8 goals to win with this guy in the net.

Barring a total collapse at the end, the Sabres final record, playoffs or not, will be the best since the 2011-2012 season. That has to count for something. However playoff hockey is a war and I'm not sure these kids can handle that level of physicality at his stage. Granato has been hamstrung by an unbalanced roster focused on skill and speed with real lack of physicality. If GM Adams has the right idea of balancing the lineup, then this team could go places. Remember the 2005-6 team was preceeded by 2003-4 teams that were close to .500 at the end. What goes without saying is in order to succeed, this team will need a star goaltender or two.

A lot of inconsistency with this team. Watching this, I forgot this was in Buffalo. I thought with all the cheering it was in Toronto. Should've known.

This three headed monster in goal is really weak. It doesn't give even one goalie a chance to get into a rhythm. We need someone else, a true #1, and cut all three of these guys loose. No confidence in net.

I hear the Sabres added a yellow pee stain to the front of their white breezers. I think it was the same genious who came up with the sweatstains under the arms a few years back.

I turned it off when the Kings scored goal #4 at the end of the second. I'm actually surprised and a bit happy that the Sabres didn't get shut out. They outscored the Kings 2-1 in the 3rd. Build on it.
