  1. Bottom line, I trust Comrie more than Luukkonen or Anderson at this point. No professional coach I ever heard of, besides Mario Tremblay in his rookie year, would leave a goalie in for ten goals so I don't think that outing was on Comrie.
  2. Comrie/Levi the rest of the way. The other two...good luck; too inconsistent.
  3. I heard one of the Ranger fans call him Dominik Levi. I like that...Dominik Levi.
  4. Exciting to have a goalie making saves without screw-ups. Defense is protecting him. The ice looks pretty bad as well.
  5. It was a disgrace. There are organizations like Chicago and Montreal who have a tradition of making the national anthems a thrill and set the tone for a good home game. Maybe Buffalo should take their lead because this cheaping out is at the least making us fans look bad, even though the organization doesn't seem to care.
  6. I'm a musician so the lack of professsionalism in the anthems was offensive to me, and I think I'm being kind. My ears hurt. I see a pattern of amateur anthem singers in Buffalo it spreads to the area experience, but am glad the longtime earsore meh Doug Allen is gone. The Sabres are supposed to be a professional organization. Why can't the Sabres get a Roger Doucet, who was an inspirational singer and put on a show and get the fans going? Even the Montreal fans on hfboards were all commenting on the amateur singers. It seems the mispelled, knock-off uniforms in the old-timers' game awhile back was just the tip of the iceberg with this franchise and owner. The Sabres are definitely the Bills' "poor cousin." "PSE talent being showcased" is an embarrassing concept.
  7. The only thing worse than the putrid national anthems (who chose those losers who can't sing, can't harmonize? I'd rather hava a dead Roger Doucet) were the fools in the crowd that were cheering the losers after they were done. They should have been booed! Who chose them and what was the criteria? Sometimes the Sabres are such a gd minor league organization. A complete embarrassment to the team and city.
  8. What's wrong with Jack Edwards?? In his older clips you can tell he has a facility with language and a rapid-fire delivery. These days, he just can't get the words out like he used to. This is consistent. Now, he isn't enunciating clearly and he's always verbally lagging behind the play. He sounds "draggy." I don't buy that he's high or drunk; I think the man has had a stroke. There's a big difference between these two clips. Before: After:
  9. Yes. It says in the article that he's the tallest player to ever score 40g/80pts.
  10. This is a long, interesting and detailed article about the man who was built to be a hockey player. For exampe: https://www.espn.in/nhl/story/_/id/35904056/tage-thompson-do-never-done-nhl-history
  11. Eichel gets his first taste of playoff hockey. Zadorov pastes Marchand in the boards, then handles Frederic. I know he's inconsistent but I want this guy back. So entertaining.
  12. I repeat: Does anybody know who the Anaheim Ducks received as a conditional #1 draft choice along with Guhle in exchange for Montour?
  13. Another one? How many did they have this season?
  14. I've been thinking about former Sabre and 2nd round RHD Brandon Montour (13G - 48A) these days. When the Sabres first traded for him from Anaheim, they gave up Brendan Guhle and a conditional first. Guhle shuffled between AHL and NHL for a couple years, had some injuries and then retired (permanently?) from the NHL. He's now playing for a team in Europe. I always wondered what that conditional first turned into for Anaheim. Montour was doing well for Buffalo but then they traded him for a third rounder, Stiven Sardaryan (2G-5A, 29G UNH). I know Montour cost almost $4 million but he's a productive player and with Buffalo's lack of RHD, I always wondered why? It sounds to me like two failed trades for one player who's doing well.
  15. You should change your name to "The Moderator."
  16. Pegula should sell the Sabres to someone who keeps them in the area. The arena is crumbling, the team hasn't made the playoffs in record time and is losing tons of money. Now Kim seems to be totally out of the picture as well. Pegula just can't successfully manage a major league hockey team so he should check his ego, give the fans all a break and cut his losses.Besides the successful minor league stuff, he's been a major league hockey disaster.
  17. Did anyone ever find out what that laughter in the background was during DG's postgame presser vs Nashville?
  18. From his injury history to his mediocre numbers and inability to win consistently at any level in North America, Luukkonen is certainly undeserving of his extended call-up to the NHL. It's as if the Sabres brass are trying to prove something by forcing him into a role that he is not suited. The Sabres have no clue what to do about their goaltending and if they weren't handed two overall #1 defensive draft choices, they'd be a lot worse off on defense, which is unimaginable.
  19. I hear a Las Vegas brothel has offered new LVR QB Jimmy Garapollo free sex for life. https://nypost.com/2023/03/22/jimmy-garoppolo-offered-free-sex-for-life-by-las-vegas-brothel/ Wonder if they've offered the same for Eichel, or will he have to pay double?
  20. Nashville only has 21 shots yet they have 6 goals. The chances they're getting are unbelieveable. Do the Sabres even have a defensive coach?
  21. In case you missed it, here's the late, great John Pinette with his Chinese Buffet routine.
