  1. Are you talking about "no mas" Leino who begged out of the center position a 1/4 way through the 11-12 season, and Ott who does NOT play the center position? The 3rd line needs some scoring ability, and with Leino or Ott centering that line, the Sabres will be hurting in this regard. Keep in mind that Ennis' TOI will probably be going up this year by 1-2 minutes. More TOI = greater chance of inury.
  2. I'm also in the "we could still be in trouble at the center position in 12-13" camp. Hodgson could be a 60 point player or he could end up being a struggling 2nd year center. Ennis at his size, is a major question mark in terms of being able to suit up for 70+ games. Stay healthy, and he has the skill to get the job done. 3rd line center is a major question mark if Grigs goes back to the Q, and Z needs seasoning at the AHL level. If this ends up being the case, who is the 3rd line center? McCormick as the 4th line center can suffice for 12-13, even though his offensive contributions in 10-11 which led to a 3 year contract dissipated in 11-12. The center postion for 13-14 and beyond looks brighter with Hodgson, Ennis, Grigs, Z, Sundher, Kia, Nelson and Varone, but the majority of them won't be able to help this season.
  3. The penalty does not come anywhere near the pain the victims have endured, but I'm glad the NCAA acted swiftly and with an iron fist. I only wish JoePa was still alive and forced to suffer through the humiliation of his legacy being ruined. I'm wondering what kind of civil suits will be filed against the school based on what has come to light? By the way, the statement from JoePa's family is quite embarrassing. Just go away, and don't speak to any media.
  4. Paterno's legacy should be be minimized as much as possible by PSU officials. It is disgraceful what happened under his leadership. Side note...D1 basketball and football are dirty...really dirty. If NCAA officials wanted to look harder, they would find that just about every D1 school is doing something shady.
  5. If I had a vote(I realize the costs aren't the same), I'd say scrap this plan, and build a Sabres HoF inside the arena in the space where the aeropsace museum was(1st floor adjacetn to Main St.).
  6. Pretty discouraging(bolded part of post). I wonder if another swing and a miss in 12-13 would be the final nail in the coffin for R&R?
  7. I've been laying low waiting to see how things play out. Trade Vanek and/or Miller(or in a bizarre twist Pegs immediately fires Ruff and Regier) and I will come out of hiding in a big way! :)
  8. ...except for the fact that their mom passed away in 2009.

  10. Being forced to swim naked...wait a minute, that was last week! Who decided that it would be a good idea to run voice traffic across the network infrastructure? Now if the network goes down, you lose your computer and phone. :wallbash:
  11. I made a run in gold flirting with as high as 2nd place near the end of the regular season, but the injuries to Jimmy Howard along with lack of consistent scoring killed my team.
  12. Don't know if this practice still goes on in WNY high schools, but back in my day(mid 70's), during gym class the boys always swam naked. Looking back, WTF was that all about.
  13. Already cut the grass on Tuesday for the first time. It really needed it, but the more you cut it, the faster it seems to grow.
  14. Before two weeks ago, did you think that Foligno was a top 6 forward? Tropp has enough skill, to develop into a top 6 forward. Whether or not he makes that jump is yet to be seen.
  15. I think he needs to work on his skating a lot. Maybe come training camp he will wow me, but I'm not ready to pencil him into the top 6 based on the small number of games he has played at the NHL level.
  16. None of the guys mentioned including McNabb have shown they are ready to be top 6 blueliners in the NHL come 12-13(the closest may be Brennan). In addition, unless Sulzer's agent loses his mind, he should come reasonably priced @ 1mil per season.
  17. One more complaint. How do you screw up the Canadian anthem(despite being born and raised in Canada), and then yell/joke at the crowd to cut you some slack because it is on your bucket list. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dykCynTxDXs
  18. All you ass-holes at my place of work...stop burying me in paperwork, documentation, policies and procedures, project management, change management, endless emails, SOP's, meetings for the sake of meeting, etc.... STOP IT AND JUST LET ME DO MY JOB!
  19. IMO that line will not even survive this season. One game of poor play out of them and "Shuffle Ruff, Shuffle Often" will be up to his old tricks.
  20. You don't see the difference between TO and Mario Williams?
  21. Nothing. Having bloodwork done in the morning and have to fast for 12 hours. :(
  22. Damn. Another guy I forgot about. Like Owens, I don't put Spikes above any of the four I previously listed.
  23. I forgot about him, but I still don't think it was anywhere near the same level as the four I listed.
