    Was the coach manipulating the lineup in a way that decreased the chances of winning, did the coach order the players to "lay down", or did the GM just put together a crappy roster incapable of success ala this years Sabres?

    You are right about not trying different things in the preseason in an attempt to find out what works. Just stick your head in the sand and let the games get longer and longer.

    How is it possible that the most successful of the 4 professional leagues does not have a draft lottery? Somebody explain why the NHL has to have a lottery? Because Bettman came from the NBA which also has a lottery(Bettman hire in 93, lottery implemented in 95)? So what if a team tanks for one year, two year, or even more?

    In all fairness, the batters stepping out of the box after every pitch doing their "routine" is also not helping.

    Just got home. Saw none of the game. SOG 37-10??? To Toronto? WTF? I don't know what Nolan is selling, but these guys aren't buying. Something is wrong. Very wrong. Good for the tank, but downright embarrassing.

    I can't wait to see the pricing. I think it will be an eye opener...not in a good way. IMO...as long as the quality is there, I am okay with it.

    So who makes the "stay or go" call on Zadorov and Reinhart...TN or TM? Does TM have any say regarding whether they play or not if they remain with the big club?

    Well, I'm not a person who will go miles for a Paula's doughnut that everyone raves about. Just not that big of a fan of doughnuts. Just saying if there is a DD and TH close to each other, I'm going to DD.

    Let me ask this...how did Zadorov look in his one game? Completely out of place and overmatched like Grigorenko in his rookie year? Worse than Benoit and Mezsaros? If the answers are no to the latter questions, then why isn't he playing?

    Reinhart on the 4th line again and no PP time?Check Zadorov in the press box? Check Healthy doses of Mitchell, Benoit, Mezsaros, etc? Check I'll be watching the World Series instead.

    You say that the dmen are all "still prospects", but then talk about all the forward depth. Aren't they also "still prospects"? This team needs an elite forward in the worst way. I'm with wildcard, if they end up with the 3rd pick, I am hoping that by the end of the season, a forward prospect is worthy of the 3rd spot. If not, trade out of it. Not too far. In the 4-8 range.

    Keumper has been a very good find for me early this season...until the 3rd period started tonight(5 GA). :lol:

    It's just not happening unless the Sabres add something, and I don't mean a 7th round pick or Matt Ellis.

    I know Tim's has market share in WNY, but IMO the bagels and doughtnuts from Dunkin' are hands down better.

    I think people are getting caught up in all the rumors regarding what TM is looking for in return of trading Myers. IMO if traded, he will bring back a lot less than what is being reported that TM is holding out for, or what fans think the Sabres will get.

    I know the Royals are the ultimate underdog(no playoffs in 29 years, small market, etc...), but for some reason I still want the Giants to win. They just seem like a team that is easy to root for with clutch players(Posey, Pence, Sandoval, etc...), a great stadium, and a chance for a mini-dynasties(this would be 3 in 5 years if they win). That being said, I have been a Cardinals fan since I was a kid in the 60's.
