The Bryson who was called up in 20-21 was a competent player who moved the puck and was good defending with his stick to make up for his size. 38 GP, 9 pts, -1 on a Krueger/Meatballs team that was the shortened covid season and could not score goals. He was fine. From there, it has been gross.

Each of those guys have given up 33 goals in nine games each. It can get a lot worse than Comrie.

Not opposed to sitting Clifton…but I noticed he has five assists in his last five games. His mistakes are glaring, but he’s playing better than the start of the year.

Tomorrow might be a good watch purely from a broadcast perspective. I haven’t seen any games on TV from the tiny arena Arizona plays in, but I have to imagine the main camera will be low and feel very close to the ice.

This would be true for a veteran team. The Sabres aren’t that though. You might say DG isn’t your preference as the coach of this team, but he’s been given the youngest team in the NHL back to back years and no NHL goalie the whole time (other than every fifth game Andy). Yes I realize the Sabres aren’t performing relative to the expectations, but I don’t think it is because the Sabres are too comfortable. I think it’s because they weren’t constructed with enough experience and talent to compete. That falls on the GM.
