  1. @Thorny, @SwampD, and everyone else who said last night’s win was going to matter. Get in here and eat your pie. BYEEEEEE KA!
  2. So the final playoff spot comes down to the Scott v Pi matchup and Monday Night Football. Scott is up by 3 points and what’s interesting is each team has one guy yet to play…and they’re both running backs for the same team 😅 1. Five Hole locked into the 1 seed at 12-3. 2. Wagons locked into the 2 seed at 10-5. Three teams for two spots: 3. Winner of the above is locked into the three seed (via points scored tiebreaker) at 9-6. The winner’s season points scored will be higher than 1755. The loser is out with an 8-7 record. If they tie, they’re both out. Given that we play with decimal points to the hundredths, that’s incredibly unlikely. 4. Grave locked into the four seed at 9-6 (unless Scott scores negative tonight and still wins OR they tie tonight). Season points 1755. Pasta just misses the playoffs at 9-6 via points scored tiebreaker (unless there’s a tie tonight). Season points 1646. Not rooting for it, but could you imagine if y’all actually tied? It would go down as one of the worst bad beat stories in fantasy football history.
  3. Haha Seattle is 1-5 in their last six at home and have a total of ten goals in those games. And the Sabres still had to white-knuckle most of the the third period. Obviously I’ll take it, but it’s hard to get excited.
  4. I guess he pukes every game. But it is usually in the locker room.
  5. What a disjointed period for Buffalo so far. Pretty ugly.
  6. I’ve never heard a play by play guy use a first and last name combo like Dan has for Evans for Seattle. I’m going to hear “Ryker Evans” in my head for the rest of my life.
  7. Best wishes and good health to you!
  8. Weird hill to die on. Bob never claimed it was his own work…
  9. A fan for longer than you by virtue of my age and location. I appreciate your cynicism, but whether it is tomorrow or April, GMKA is a dead man walking. They’ll still be last in the conference even if the Sabres win tonight. I am not guaranteeing KA goes tomorrow, but tonight changes nothing for Pegula or any of us…KA is a dead man walking.
  10. For most leagues, it is week one of the fantasy playoffs. But for Sabrespace Royal, it’s the final week of the regular season! Only four teams get into the dance and a lot will be decided today. Five Hole (11-3) is in. GraveDiggsaz (9-5) is in with a win. Currently favored against @Derrico, and stands to benefit if Derrico does not update the Higgins roster spot. CircleTheWagons (9-5) is in with a win. He’s slightly favored against Waratah’s Abandoned Trash (tip of the cap to @ExWNYer for making the team competitive and coining my new favorite name, Abandoned Trash). @pi2000 would be the last team in if the playoffs started today. @SDS would be the first team out. How juicy that they play each other this week!! Pi is the favorite with Thursday’s results in mind. Unsure if @pastajoe can sneak in via tiebreakers with a win today. That’s the other 8-6 team. You might need Pi & Scott to tie? Other folks like @JujuFish (7-7) & @Wyldnwoody44 (7-7) are playing for pride or spoiler. Demerits to @North Buffalo for not updating their lineup. Boo Hiss Good luck to all!
  11. Following 12 days spent across six cities and four different time zones, the Buffalo Sabres conclude their season-long road trip on Sunday against the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena. Alex Tuch and Josh Norris both could be in the lineup after practicing on Saturday, coach Lindy Ruff said. Tuch missed Thursday’s win in Vancouver due to an illness. Norris has missed the last two games due to what Ruff described as a combination of illness and injury. With no morning skate, Ruff said a decision on both players will be made pregame. Noah Östlund also factored into the team’s lines at practice on Saturday following a recall from Rochester. Seattle ranks last in the NHL with 73 goals scored – a reality that’s only been amplified by recent injuries to forwards Jaden Schwartz and Jared McCann. They lost in Utah on Friday. That loss marked the continuation of what’s been a challenging season at both ends of the ice for the Kraken. At all strengths, their -44 differential in high-danger chances ranks last in the league. The next closest team, Utah, is -26. Kraken is a dumb name. Go Sabres.
  12. You forgot the bow!
  13. “Adams, whose contract runs through the 2026-27 campaign” whaaaaaa?
  14. I’ve never built an ice arena before, but I would have expected something closer to completion given we are 55 days away.
  15. You could combine the handling of goaltending with the UPL extension. That was his answer to handling the position. He signed his guy and cleared the dining room table. Mission accomplished for him. You should vote there if you want to point to the crease as his biggest blunder.
  16. I don’t understand folks who worry about a couple wins might change the removal of the GM. Even if they win in Seattle for their third straight road win, the Sabres would still be last in the conference. GMKA has had six years and we are worse off. How this road trip ends is irrelevant.
  17. Have to get this one into the garage. Up a goal with eight minutes left. Good teams hold this lead. Ruff lineup matchup masterclass incoming?
  18. A little behind. That Benson goal was tasty. A heavy shot in some traffic. I want to sere more of that.
  19. Wow there’s ten options and Other is still the number one answer lol
  20. Lyon in the starter’s net. Norris absent from the morning skate.
  21. I’m listening now. He also said Ruff has a ton of influence in the organization. Which is interesting if he’s a lame duck. But whatever it takes to move on from KA.
  22. I’ve heard from Fairburn that Jarmo is around a lot and that’s good. But it was noteworthy that Jarmo said he wasn’t relocating to Buffalo for his role as Advisor when he was hired. So maybe I’m taking an unfair shot.
