Brandon was a lot more relaxed today. My take on the WGR convo is that everyone was correct in the conversation. Beane is correct that the Bills have a unicorn QB who drives the offense to 30 pt games, the D needed improvement, and there’s only one ball. Only so much cap dollars to go around and Josh throws people open anyway. If the radio guys were insinuating that Beane doesn’t value the position, that is wrong to me. They traded a first for Diggs and paid him, they used their top pick on WR last year, traded for Cooper, traded for Kelvin Benjamin once upon a time. But at the same time, the radio guys are correct that the Bills WR room is weaker than most. With that said, I think the Bills have enough at the position given the 2025 draft was weak at the position.

He may have gotten the call if the series was going to be a track meet, but the Amerks liked Komorov’s size against the Crunch (plus he’s still a legitimate Sabres prospect). Now that he’s likely in the protocol (plus no word how close Prow is to returning), I believe he will be the next man up.

I think I agree with you. Which is a very narrow view by TP…the Sabres lose money so he cannot spend more cash than he absolutely needs to. It’s a business decision by a businessman. Meanwhile the guy’s net worth went from 4.7 BILLION in 2019 to 7.6 BILLION today. This is why I cannot defend the guy to his haters. He promised hockey heaven and the last few years has delivered ‘ballin on a budget.’ He will have regrets for some of these decisions when money won’t prolong his life and the Sabres continue to be what they are.

The family had a blast. It was a weird game….it took three hours and ended in regulation. The KO from the fight, two pucks on the ice at one time at one point, a Cuse fan got booted by security in front of me, a lady took a puck to the face that stopped the game, etc. Let’s sweep the gross Crunch. Man, this hand wringing about Benson’s production is weird to me. Here are the list of players 19 years old (his age) or younger who outproduced Benson offensively in the NHL this season: Maclin Celebrini (first overall), Will Smith (fourth overall), Connor Bedard (first overall). That’s it. To be able to develop all this time in the NHL will be a godsend down the road.
