Rod Brind’Amour signs extension with Carolina

That is a high quality post for that grammar thread -
My complaint is it is frickin COLD in the Syracuse arena

Do you think his reputation is turning around a little bit? He stuck with Granato to the tune of the seventh most tenured coach in the NHL. The GM is going into year five. The arena upgrade process is starting. It appears his meddling has reduced (family situation contributed). He’s handing out long term contracts. He’s only firing COO’s because they cannot keep it in their pants. Player facilities seem to be industry standard or better. While it isn’t a given that they’ll be a cap team this year…if they are, what are the complaints at this point?

Six series currently sit at 3-1. Someone asked me which team has the best chance to come back…the answer is probably none. But if I had to pick one, I guess Tampa? What would you say?

Came here to say what you’re saying. BRENDAN SHANAHAN- PRESIDENT Accomplishments: • 2014- • 2015- • 2016- Won the lottery • 2017- • 2018- • 2019- • 2020- • 2021- • 2022- • 2023- Won a round and they’re imploding again.

Arizona Coyotes are relocating to Utah as Utah HC (hockey club)

A tip of the hat to techno group Utah Saints. It has a nice ring to it. -
I don’t have any opinion on him as a prospect, but found it interesting that Miro Satan’s kid is draft eligible this year. The Sabres have brought back Lindy and the Goat Heads. Now bring back Satan. https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/806027/miroslav-satan

The Sabres just hired a head coach who is fifth all time in NHL wins. I don’t care that he also worked here eleven years ago. This is a veteran hire that fans have been craving.

I’m open minded here. The assistant hires will be vitally important. Accountability was never a problem with Ruff. He will make sure this team doesn’t peel off of a hit and his practices will be hard. He has pushed offense with his teams. He gets to finish what he started with this team so long ago in the “No Goal” finals.

An awesome success story from a seventh round pick to 182 NHL points. Change can be good.

Regarding this decision, here is what I think Pegula is thinking: you can’t make money running an antiquated, million-year-old arena so here’s the keys to everything but the locker rooms. The problem here is that Terry’s profit & loss in ROC is immaterial to his seven billion dollar balance sheet. That is why it is so saddening to the local community. He’s basically like, “yea the Amerks/Hawks/Blue Cross Arena is less than 1% of my annual revenues and the P&L statement doesn’t make money so peace out.” Kim was the force of, “Rochester is important because it is my home town.” Terry has moved on from that and it sucks for us in ROC. He was the angel investor and it is no more.
-
I’ll summarize: If Cleveland wins in regulation, they win the division. If ROC & CLE get two points the same way (OT loss or SO loss), Cleveland wins the division. If Cleveland does not win and Rochester wins, the Amerks win the division. Two points today earned by ROC guarantee home ice in round one, even if they don’t win the division. But here’s every possible scenario.

Spotify (even with ads) helps a ton. I’m a Spotify premium subscriber, but it should work for all. Also, eff the Leafs.
