Kulich is a special goal scorer who likes to score big goals at big moments. I think a big positive is that Kulich and Rosen haven’t sulked from being sent down and have built on last year’s performances. I thinks the Sabres have 3 sets of young duos: Quinn-Peterka Kulich-Rosen Savoie-Benson that all have tremendous chemistry with each other.

Sabres play better in these games then they do against lower or middling teams.

I’m excited to see Savoie get his chance. He is much more prepared for the pro game now then his Amerks playoff run last year. He plays fast, has great skill and smarts and competes hard. I think he will really benefit Cozens when he is back. Skinner Tage Tuch Greenway Mitts Peterka have been good. Cozens with Savoie would be the start of a good 3rd line.

They said last night that the Leafs have scored 35 goals this year and that Matthews, Marner, Tavares, Nylander And Reilly have scored 28 of the 35 goals.

The only team that accepted DeAngelo back was Carolina and if they are done with him then he must be a real bad apple. Tanev would be a real nice piece. Injuries will happen. If you could bring him in I definitely would go for it. I will say that this is probably the best stretch Joker has played as a Sabre. Hopefully he has matured and this is him moving forward. Ryan Johnson looks like he belongs too.

We really need to look no further than Boston. They play a solid defensive structure and had a historic season last year and again to start this year. Cassidy takes that system and implements it in Vegas and they win the Cup last year and are off to a tremendous start this year. The wide open offensive teams like Toronto, Edmonton, Buffalo have struggles because they cant clamp down in their own end consistently.

No goalie is coming in here and fixing anything. Fix the defensive structure and the goaltending will improve greatly.

It’s not goaltending as much as a consistent commitment to a defensive system that doesn’t leave them out to dry. Play consistently better in the defensive zone and the goaltending is capable.

Arizona won't move him. He is part of the culture there for the kids and is important for them for all the reasons you mentioned wanting to trade for him. Would be a great get though

Novikov will have 2 years of KHL and 1 year of AHL experience as a 20 year old. He is a couple years away but he is a serious prospect to be a full time Sabre a couple years from now. I think Ryan Johnson, Novikov, Strabek are the next wave of Sabres dmen. And please sign Metsa to a Sabres contract. He will play in the NHL.

He has tremendous chemistry with Rosen. Another JJ-Quinn pairing. They are best friends too. I think they would like to bring them up together at a point in time where it is a permanent promotion. Rosen is a year older and is the much more polished all around player. He sets Kulich up for a lot of his goals. I don’t feel a rush to call him up. Let him marinate another year. I will say he is one of the best young goal scorers I have seen. What he is doing in the AHL at 18 and 19 is ridiculous. A tremendous pick for the organization.

His wheels stand out as does his brain. Very smart, talented player. Savoie Kulich Rosen was their best line. He is a very good playmaker. I think he would be a great line mate for Cozens. Has the wheels to hang with Cozens and the playmaking to get Cozens the puck in the right areas at the right time. He will get some games here in Buffalo coming up and I’m interested to see how he does.

The second half of the season will be very interesting. Quinn will return and fingers crossed he is close to his normal self. Kulich and Rosen are both lighting up the AHL and could force their way up. Savoie has looked good and now comes up. If he continues to impress he might be ready for a spot. Benson is a wildcard. 5 forwards in the second half that could be ready for spots. Ryan Johnson will probably be a Sabre second half too. 4 years development in college, he doesn’t need a ton of time in Rochester. Depending on injuries some decisions will be made. Guys like Olofsson, Jost, Krebs, Bryson could be expendable if the kids blow by them and take spots.

Kulich is a wizard. He Just scores Rosen is a talent. He will be a Sabre Amerks down 10 guys from their lineup and still got a win. Tokarski is the anti Cooley.

Might have been Greenway’s most impactful game. Peterka is right on the cusp of exploding

McDavid’s look on the bench after the game today and his post game interview was eye opening. Something has got to give soon in Edmonton
