Rosen has elite wheels and a great shot. That was known when he was drafted. His ability to grab the puck and go up ice really has stood out. He has really nice chemistry with Kulich, think JJ and Quinn. What has surprised is how well rounded the rest of his game has become. He has good hockey sense and is a nice distributor. He plays hard despite always being a thin guy. I don’t know what he develops into at the NHL level. That is still unknown as he continues to develop. He is a guy that can be used up or down a lineup. I think if he really takes off you are looking at a guy like Jesper Bratt for the Devils. Im pretty sure he is up because of the Girgs injury so probably no other moves have to be made. Is Comrie healthy right now? I think sending Levi down for a spell would be a good move but you have to know that Comrie is good to go.

Rosen OT winner. Kulich 2 more points. At some point these guys are going to force their way up. Benson has made his way on Ryan Johnson has earned his way too. Time to start trimming the fat in the lineup.

I agree. If they sign Kane and Quinn returns then it more then replaces anything Benson will bring this season. Let him go to the WJCs and then back to junior to get faster and stronger. He will be a special player. Adams needs to figure out this forward group moving forward. Kulich, Benson, Savoie, Rosen, Östlund, Wahlberg all look like NHL forwards. Peterka is taking off, Quinn should too when he gets back to his old self. Where do all these guys fit? They all won’t so who stays who goes. They really need a physical forward that loves the slot. Dirty goal type player. a 4th Line centre that wins battles and face offs and is solid defensively would Ben a big help too. Find a landing spot for VO.

Krebs is an enigma. He was a great junior player. A main guy on Team Canada Junior teams but hasn’t transitioned any of that to the NHL Level. Regardless of what some think of guys like Girgs and Okposo, 1 assist in 17 games is just baffling.

So John Gibson has a 2.19 gaa and a .927 sv% this season. After years of weak play has he suddenly found his game? I would bet it rests squarely on Anaheim playing a more solid defensive game and limiting chances against. Watching the Edmontons ,Torontos And Buffalos of the league believe that you can play wide open offensive hockey and be shabby in your own end and think you are going to get anywhere is comical. Atleast the Oilers and Leafs have tasted the playoffs. Until the Sabres realize and commit to playing a consistent sound defensive game it doesn’t matter who they draft, sign or trade for. They will be spinning their wheels and none of these young guys will develop as they should.

Simple Question This team seems no closer to even sneaking into the playoffs let alone doing damage. PP is a mess. They seem to be outworked, confused in their own zone. I just have no answers. I mean Boston are dominant with less talent because they play a solid system and consistently work hard. It is not that it is looking like 13 years of no playoffs, it’s that is doesn’t look like anything will improve moving forward. Sure there is a lot of young talent but it means nothing if there isn’t a successful system in place. They need a couple guys that just go to the net with reckless abandon. They score no greasy goals whatsoever.
