  1. I thought all your disappointments played really well today. Krebs and JJ were all over the ice. Östlund was superb holding on to the puck and setting up teammates. He also scored a beautiful one timer. Johnson uses his skating to make strong plays all over the ice. I thought he did it today. It is hard though in a 3 on 3 tournament to get a real idea for players.
  2. As far as talent, a billion times better even with some top talent sitting out.
  3. Portillo and Johnson are both quality prospects. I hope they both sign as both have good NHL potential. Levi and Portillo would be a great tandem
  4. He probably got the info from the same scouts that said Savoie doesn’t have separation speed😳 A lot of high end skill in the organization now. Richard has great hands and good size. With all the skill on the ice there is a lot not on it: Savoie, Leinonen, Poltapov, Kisakov, Neuchev, Sardinin, Novikov, Huglin, Cederqvist, Nadeau, Pekar and maybe a few more I am missing
  5. People are really happy about Savoie and love Kulich this week but I think people are really over looking Östlund. The kid has world class skating, skill and brains. All he is missing is bulk. If he can get to a solid 185lbs then you have a star player there. Interested to see how he does in the 3 on 3 tournament tomorrow.
  6. Dallas was a very structured defensive team under Bowness. Klingberg rocked a -28. He is the NHL Laaksonen. No thanks
  7. Team Robert’s forward group will be fun to watch
  8. This is a crazy trend of signing kids so quickly. Washington just signed two 3rd round picks from this draft.
  9. Lance reporting Sabres signed all 3 1st rounders to their elc deals.
  10. He is a great depth piece. AHL all star, serviceable 3 rd pairing NHL tweener. Glad he is back, didn’t like the way Botts treated him here, glad he has a second chance.
  11. So full of talent without Savoie on the ice, Kisakov, Poltapov, Neuchev, Novikov, Cederqvist, And a few others not there. Edit: and Nadeau, how could I forget Nadeau
  12. Adams: “I think we are done for the offseason” Terry hands him a piece of paper with three words on it: Patrick Kane Chychrun
  13. Remember the Pegulas and Chychruns are or were neighbors in Florida. I have no doubt Terry wanted him at the draft when Murray took Nylander.
  14. Do you think Montreal made a mistake with Price or TB with Andrei Vasilevskiy? While goalie might be the hardest position in all of sport to properly scout and project I do think if you feel strong enough about one then take them. Every pick is a crapshoot on some level. The Sabres seemed to feel very strong about the Finnish kid. They might be off but they felt he wouldn’t be there in round 3. He was also their 4th pick of the draft. I generally agree with your philosophy but going high on a goalie every once in a while when you have a bunch of picks isn’t the end of the world.
  15. Rumour is he might be going back to the Avs
  16. Cozens and Savoie hanging out at camp
  17. Husso is a backup who got to play some more games last season but faltered in the playoffs. Let’s not pretend Husso is a slam dunk. He had similar numbers as Comrie but with a larger sample size last year.
  18. 25-26 seems to be the sweet spot where most goalies’ talent and mental maturity catch up to each other and they take off. That is why it is such a crapshoot drafting goalies at 18. Comrie is a roll of the dice but one worth taking. He has a real chance to take the net and run with it.
  19. My God this guy is Adam’s dream player. The Process God😁
  20. He is 31. Great deal for 2 years and then not so much
  21. Yep Capfriendly has it. Like the player would hate that deal if Buffalo signed him for that.
  22. And Dadonov twice😁 Patches and Dadonov are big losses to that lineup with no one replacing them.
