  1. But he hasn’t lost money. What is the value of the Sabres now vs when he bought them? That is where the money is not the day to day operating costs. The Sabres as an asset have increased in value. And the value of the Bills is crazy. Overall he will come out well ahead.
  2. I don’t know if this has been posted but my god is it awesome. A Who’s Who in the mids 80sπŸ˜„
  3. Stop posting facts. It ruins people’s narrativesπŸ˜€
  4. He is referring to longtime Bruins owners The Jacobs who are from Buffalo and own Delaware North who do the food for the arena. Jacobs is the Godfather owner of the NHL. He thinks that Jacobs won’t approve a move for the Sabres to leave Buffalo
  5. I have asked for a few years now: how did Pronman get his position? What qualifies him to be an expert on prospects? I have never been too big on his rankings or opinions on prospects. Leinonen just can’t stay healthy. This year is big for him to see if he can breakout. With Levi and now Ratzleff in the fold he becomes less important even though he was drafted high and ahead of some quality young players.
  6. Its a move to sell merchandise: "2Buffalo" 😜
  7. I take our prospect base easily over both Anaheim and Chicago
  8. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ He just continues to bend the Leafs over the desk and give it to them raw. Short term at the highest avg in the league for leading them to Jack πŸ’©
  9. The Jets ask is diminishing by the day. They will not get anything close to their initial ask because there isn’t a market for him. If he had 2 years left at $6.5 sure they would get their preferred return. But with him becoming a UFA with a ridiculous ask on an extension they have found zero takers. If he is moved it will be as a pure rental at a reduced price. Like UPL and a pick as example. They can keep him for the year but he has stated he isn’t signing an extension in Canada so they are handcuffed.
  10. Ignoring the best source of future NHL talent was such a Boss move.πŸ€ͺ To this day I don’t understand why they didn’t sign Hagel when they needed bodies in the organization. Such an awful decision.
  11. Wow if you are going to dig that dip in the minutia to find something to be outraged about then good luck being happy about anything.
  12. Boosh would have fit in on the Bills last night with all those bad penalties.😁 Im not losing sleep over the trade. As I said earlier, he had a bad season last year and he wanted regular playing time.
  13. He was injured at times but the reality was he didn’t have a good season.
  14. I think there might be a little divide between how some people think Boosh played and how he actually played last season. This might have been Boosh reading the tea leaves and asking to be moved to somewhere that he could play a regular shift.
  15. I think Ryan Johnson has a shot to take a spot in camp if he is up to it. 4 years of college is a lot of development time. Muel Dahlin Power Clifton R Johnson Joker/ E Johnson Stillman Unless there is another move coming in the backend.
  16. Odd man out with Clifton and E Johnson Please do Bryson next
  17. Tage wasn’t even a 4th liner a couple years ago. When the Eichel trade happened Nick Kypreos said the Sabres only got a 3rd liner back in Tuch. My point being I wouldn’t put too much effort into arguing what line 18 and 19 year old prospects are going to end up playing on.
  18. RIP Rick. Thanks for all the amazing calls and memories. I’m glad his final call was so perfect and memorable.
  19. Levi, Benson, Kulich should be stars Savoie and Γ–stlund have the chance to be stars Everything depends on development. Plenty of star players aren’t perceived as stars as prospects. Jamie Benn, Mark Stone, Marty St. Louis and many more were drafted late or not drafted and developed into star players.
  20. His numbers have been consistent but he fell a bit last season. Would he be a big upgrade in this system over UPL or Comrie? His cap hit is $1.8 the same as Comrie. You could acquire him for a pick as the Habs are almost $4 million over the cap.
  21. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/former-maple-leafs-first-round-pick-rodion-amirov-passes-away-at-21/ Brutal news
  22. Boston will be an interesting team this year. They have lost a lot.
  23. Both Sportsnet and TSN have connected Petry to us in the past couple days.
  24. When is this trade happening and what happened to the salary cap?
  25. According to Sportsnet in Canada, Buffalo, Detroit and Dallas are interested in Petry.
