  1. I just can’t see the status quo. Adams gets punted or is given some made up title position outside the hockey dept. Shanahan is signed as President after Leafs go out early and he is not brought back. He brings in a seasoned GM who bumps Lindy upstairs with him and hires the head coach of Denver U after another Frozen Four championship.😝
  2. Amerks win today 4-3. Novikov, Brannstrom, Östlund, Wahlberg score, Helenuis with a helper Östlund has blossomed, Rosen has been good all season, Helenuis and Wahlberg have made good strides as teenagers in the AHL. Novikov and Komarov are continuing to improve. Levi has been very solid OA. Great to see the kids are making great strides in the farm.
  3. Bernard Docker point per game RHD for Buffalo. We won the trade 😝😁
  4. Dahlin has been team MVP this season but I’d have to put McLeod in the nominees. He has been great this season for Buffalo.
  5. It’s nice to get the loss out of the way in the afternoon then you have the evening to yourself.😁
  6. McKeens Hockey: “And Misa #1? Honestly, probably no. We're pretty much sold on Matthew Schaefer as the top talent and I'm not sure I see that changing.” Bob McKenzie had every scout unanimously vote Schaefer the top pick.

  8. Östlund keeps on rolling
  9. This from an article in the Toronto Star from Nick Kypreos. Sounds more like him thinking out loud than an actual rumor: ”Kyper’s Korner • Two NHL executives to keep an eye on this off-season are Leafs president Brendan Shanahan and Kings general manager Rob Blake. Playoff success may determine Shanahan’s fate in Toronto but there’s some speculation Blake will reassess his future with the club regardless of how far his team goes this post-season. Shanahan is in the final year of the six-year extension he signed in 2019. • There is a sense within the industry that if MLSE were to not re-sign Shanahan he could resurface with another club as quickly as Kyle Dubas did two years ago in Pittsburgh. Ownership groups that may be watching his situation closely include the New York Islanders and Buffalo Sabres.”

  11. Don’t know how excited the NHL is for relocation when expansion cities are paying $1.5 billion to join.
  12. Ruff was fired because Fitzgerald didn’t address the goaltending and it killed them. Not defending Ruff but that is the reality of that season.
  13. Terry to Kevyn: “While we’re in the dressing room I’d love to meet the 2 new guys from the blockbuster trade that you promised me would fix things.” Kevyn: “Yeah about that Terry……”
  14. He inspected the dressing room and came to the conclusion that the solution is still in there.
  15. There he is. Could they be sitting any further apart? And Matt Ellis still lurking
  16. Pegula is on the trip? That is interesting. Wonder if he wanted to see Utah or if he actually is focused on what a clusterf&ck the team is and is looking for real answers.
  17. At the end of the day I don’t want Pegula to sell. I want someone to have a Come to Jesus meeting with him to find the right people to run this franchise and turn it around. If someone wanted to buy the Sabres and keep them in Buffalo I’d be all for it but I don’t know if that is a real possibility. Between the damage done by years of losing, the smaller market size and the political strife caused by Trump between U.S. and Canada causing many Southern Ontario fans not to cross for games, I can’t see it as an attractive buy at the moment.
  18. Well Adams did just pull off a major trade with both players that came back not playing for the team because of injury. Who is anyone to question his brilliance.
  19. OMG people! All season you’ve complained that this team can’t score with an empty net. Then when they do score with an empty net you still complain.😛😁
  20. He’s the guy that I think can blow up the draft. If he can play the rest of the season and have a strong playoffs and then show well at the draft combine I think teams will think long and hard about a 6’5 190 pound RHC with a ton of skills who will use his body. If he was healthy all season Inthink he is in the mix with Misa and Hagens for top 2-4 pick. https://rg.org/news/hockey/how-roger-mcqueen-could-be-a-steal-at-the-2025-nhl-draft
  21. When you are getting the same team results every year it’s time to change it up.
