I read an article that said one NHL exec thinks the Peterka trade was fair value. Another exec said Adams loved Kesserling and if there was one move he would have bet on this summer it was Kesserling to Buffalo. I have a feeling Brian Rust will be a Sabre before the season starts.

Both can be true. A lot of teams interested but Sabres aren’t happy with the offers or want a little more.

There were a ton of whispers about the dressing room having guys with bad attitudes not focused on the right things. I think Cozens and JJ were two main culprits that Lindy weeded out. Interesting to see who else moves. I think Quinn might be on the outs too.

Well they are doing what a lot of fans have asked for. Prioritizing size and physical players over small, skill players. I wonder if this means they won’t look at Hagens at #9 if he drops and they keep the pick.

I wish Adams was fired yesterday but I don’t look at this trade as the train wreck some people are. I really like Kesselring and Doan plays a style this team desperately needs. To me they need to get a legit centre and slide Kulich over to the wing where I think he can be the new JJ. Please don’t start the year with UPL-Levi. I desperately want an upgrade in net.

A lot of chatter that Frondell could go as early as number 2 to SJ. He is the most interesting selection of the top 10 to me. I think most people associate the GM with the drafting. It is really the director of scouting and scouting staff that do all the leg work. Come scouting meetings the GM is brought up to date and then dives in on the top prospects. If you listen to scouts interviews they are usually fighting with each other in meeting to pound the table and advocate for players they are trying to convince the GM to draft. GMs have no clue who the 4-7th round talent is. The scouting dept makes those selections. If you look at teams who draft well, it’s not the GM it is the director of scouting who get the accolades. And that is for all teams just not Buffalo.

GMs aren’t usually looking at draft prospects unless it is a top pick. Closer to the draft they get filled in by their scouting staff and dive in but throughout the year they are worried about their team day to day.

He knows where his bread is buttered though. Every statement he makes is for an audience of one. He says what he thinks Terry would want to hear.

The Sabres can’t find a second pairing dman to save their lives. I agree though to take the best forward at 9 if it isn’t moved (Adams doesn’t have the balls to pull that off)

I can’t decide if letting Terry or Adams speak is more embarrassing for the franchise at this point? If they ever hold a joint press conference it might be too much for anyone to handle. Probably be hard to make out anything Adams would say though with his lips attached to Terry’s backside the entire time.

The “the coaching staff is under contract for this season” line said everything. Pegula isn’t spending more money. Adams and the whole staff should have been canned at year’s end. Hire Jarmo, move Lindy upstairs. DeBoer and Spott should have been hired the minute they were fired in Dallas.

No matter how people try to spin it the bottom line is this: Pegula has stopped spending the necessary money on the Sabres and Adams will listen to everything he tells him and go out there and lie through his teeth about no financial constraints and take all the bullets for the failing of the team. Adams has tried now to spin it as if there are no real failings but he’s not smart enough and no one is going to believe it anyway. He comes off as an incompetent boob but he will do all the owner’s bidding. Lets face it they aren’t going to make the playoffs this season and yet will still justify shoving Seth Appert down our throats as the new head coach because Pegula is attracted to personalities like Rex Ryan, Lafontaine, Appert.

I can see this all unfolding now clear as day: They are going to let him get offersheeted then Adams will hold a PC where he gets all emotional saying how Terry “stepped up to match the offer sheet” and what an amazing owner Pegula is.🤮

Vegas has destroyed their team building since winning the Cup. It will come back to bite them as there is zero loyalty to players. I would love the Sabres to be like Vegas but I think they are going a little overboard.

He held it to show empathy. He knows we are all upset about the misinformation out there about Muel and he showed us support today.😀
