I would take a shot at signing Freddie Andersen and punting UPL. Andersen gets hurt but he’s a hell of a goalie when he can play. Get a couple quality defensive Dmen. Biggest thing is change up the coaching staff. Someone who excels at special teams and a D coach that can implement structure.

I don’t want Ruff leading hockey ops myself but if I had to choose between Adams and Ruff at this point I’d go Ruff. We’ve seen what Adams has done and if Terry isn’t going to be bothered bringing in a qualified person for the role I would rank Ruff over Adams. But I don’t think either is a good choice.👍

Ruff was brought in but had to keep the entire coaching staff including bringing Appert up from Rochester who was already under contract. Couple that with not spending to the cap or using any cap space to broker deals and gain assets and it is clear.
