Doug MacLean was on the radio in Toronto. He thinks that Torts is going to move upstairs and Philly and they will bring Berube in to coach the Flyers. Apparently Torts has wanted to move upstairs since his Columbus days.

I’m at the point right now that no other move would excite me. Who they draft: who cares, just a prospect that won’t reach full potential here Who they trade for: who cares, one or two players won’t move the needle of the rut that is this organization. Outside of firing Adams or at the least, firing the coaching staff and bringing in a proven successful respected coach I just don’t see anything changing at all. Seeing what the Vancouvers and Edmontons and Nashvilles and Winnipegs have been able to do with the right coaches is just beyond frustrating because you know at the end of the day Adams won’t pull the trigger on that kind of move.

A guy with no front office experience was hired to run the team because Pegula trusts and likes him. No POHO because Pegula doesn’t trust NHL people anymore and wants direct access to Adams. A coaching staff that would lead a team to middle of the pack in the ECHL. Bare bones scouting, especially pro scouting because who needs insight on how the other teams are doing. 13 years with no playoffs. Who else is in contention?

Adams needs to read the room. There is no way Granato and this staff can be brought back. Might as well pencil 5000 people in for Key Bank next season if they are brought back. Even bigger than sacking the coaching staff is the next step. It is time to get F’ing serious about being a competitive organization. a Seasoned, successful, respected head coach needs to be hired who in turn brings in a coaching staff that is NHL caliber. If the reality is that sacking Granato means introducing Matt Ellis as HC or just yanking Appert up then I’m about done with this team after over 40 years. Either get serious or get lost at this point. Enough of this 💩

You can’t have an ECHL quality coaching staff and expect to be successful in the NHL. For the first time under Pegula they need to hire a seasoned NHL staff top to bottom that demands accountability.

I agree with this. Coaches don’t need to give a fire and brimstone speech before every game. These are professional men making huge money. Have some pride and show up ready to play a game. Take some pride

How many of these “I hope this is the final straw that causes the coach or GM to be fired” games have we been through over the past 13 years? It just seems to be WAY too many for any fanbase to put up with.

Skinner can produce points when he gets hot. I think he needs to go because his $9 million needs to be used for the UPLs, JJs and Quinn’s of the world. Krebs can go as well. If Russo is correct and the Wild are looking to move Rossi I would hope the jump on that. His 2 way game is great and would really compliment Tage and Cozens while Östlund marinates.

Uh 2 inches😜 Probably Krebs isn’t a good fit. But if you are bringing in a Rossi Krebs is probably done. I think Joker would be the better offer. A younger RHD that can play top 4. Don’t know if the Sabres can fit him in on a long term deal. This is all hypothetical but if they did bring in a Rossi then Savoie would probably be out the door in another deal. Benson and Rossi would be your 5’9 quota for a team.

Michael Russo, the Wild beat reporter says the Wild might be considering trading Marco Rossi mainly because they don’t think he is big enough for their type of team. He has 37 points as a rookie including 20 goals. Pals with Quinn. He would be an ideal 3C for next year but then what is the cost and how many 5’9 forwards do they want. Would let Savoie and Östlund develop in Rochester. I would offer Krebs+ or swapping 1st round picks with them or maybe Joker. He is a very good two way hockey player just coming into his own.

Saw it on another site. I’m pretty sure Cozens had good intentions but the wording is not great.

Already a Memorial Cup Champ, top dman in the Q this season on the top team in the league. His skating has improved but still needs polishing. Everything else is exactly what you would want in a dman. A Novikov-Komarov 3rd pairing in 2-3 years would be really nice
