  1. If Kane came back good as old in January and signed a friendly one year deal with Buffalo for a playoff push the fans would be excited.
  2. Uh you now the difference between assistant GM and GM. If he accepted the GM role in Pittsburgh he would not want to be a yes man to all Dubas’ whims. Dubas is the defacto GM. He took the POHO so he has the power to make the decisions without a President overtop of him overriding his decisions.
  3. My guess is Brandon Pridham who worked with him with the Leafs and helped write the collective bargaining agreement. Throw Spezza in as an associate.
  4. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/patrick-kane-undergoes-hip-resurfacing-procedure-could-be-out-4-6-months/ But but but he said nothing was wrong with his hip before he was sent to the NYR.
  5. JBot won’t touch that setup. He will want his own say into what moves are made.
  6. I think he wants more of a yes man. Dubas didn’t like having to answer to Shanahan. He wants the power to make the decisions so he took the POHO role but he wants someone who just agrees with his ideas. I don’t think he could get away with putting Spezza in as GM but maybe someone like Pridham who was with him in Toronto.
  7. There has not been a single rumour that Saros is available. Hellebuyck will be, Ullmark might be. Andersen, Korpisalo, Raanta and the like as ufas are probably best options. Calgary want to move Vladar but he hasn’t done too much at the NHL level.
  8. I listened to the Hershey feed. That late penalty Hershey took on Jobst in which Mersch scored they were convinced that Jobst held the stick and they wouldn’t let it go the rest of the game
  9. No extension mentioned. I would make that deal if Michkov was off the board and they couldn’t move up to get him. NJ would be very interested. They have to figure out Meier first though. NJ With Hellebuyck would be contenders for sure.
  10. With Moore the electric skating and motor are right in their wheelhouse but the non elite hockey sense is not something they gravitate to.Would much rather see them grab Simashev or trade the pick for a great piece. I would be all for moving up to grab Michkov. You would probably have to get to the Flyers and #7. Sabres can afford to wait a few years for a potential superstar.
  11. https://www.nhltraderumors.me/2023/05/nhltr-mock-trade-jets-connor-hellebuyck.html I just threw up in my mouth🤢
  12. Might have been timing when viewing Tuch. He looked like Tuch when i saw him and was producing as normal. His brother, Luke, is an interesting case. He doesn’t have Alex’s offensive instincts but does have the Tuch size-skating combo. He was drafted by Montreal and has one more year of college left. The Tuchs sounds like they would enjoy playing together. Does he go back to college and then head to free agency? I would bet Adams would love to add another local kid to the team. He would be a good bottom 6 winger who uses his size on the boards and in front of the net.
  13. Normally they wouldn’t trade him but they are in a real bind with the bonus overages for Bergeron, Krejci and Swayman coming due adding more to their cap and Swayman is a RFA. They could look to move Swayman but that would be less cap being freed up.
  14. It has been put out there a couple times now. Boston are in a cap crunch and they like both Swayman and Bussi who they believe is ready to come up. Getting $5 million off the books would be huge for them. https://985thesportshub.com/listicle/bruins-know-theyre-staring-down-an-absolute-salary-cap-nightmare/
  15. On the other side JJ was in tears after the loss just like Kulich after the WJCs gold medal game. Love to see that they care that much.
  16. https://gabrielfoley.substack.com/p/2023-nhl-mock-draft?utm_source=direct&r=l9s4r&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web Yes Please x1000 😁
  17. Peterka named top forward in the entire tournament and to the allstar team. Wow
  18. Krebs- 2 assists Quinn- assist JJ-goal
  19. Yep and he is a natural leader that guys like being around. If Krebs, Quinn And JJ can all take steps next season then look out
  20. Krebs has been great this tournament. He helps you win in so many different ways.
  21. If Boston has to move Ullmark I think he would be a much more economical acquisition than Hellebuyck. You would have him for 2 more years at $5 million. Perfect timeline for Levi to develop. I don’t think him leaving before would be a big deal. Last year was a special year for him but his overall career he hovers around a .917 sv% which would be a big upgrade for Buffalo. Ullmark/Levi for 2 years would put them in the playoffs. I would go after Tanev to play with Power. He has one year left and Conroy says they want to get younger. I would move Olofsson and UPL for picks and then use those picks as part of packages for Ullmark and Tanev. If Tanev has more then one year then I would move Joker for him but for a one year rental I wouldn’t. Maybe if Tanev agrees to an extension before hand.
  22. Sabres coming through early in the Gold Medal game
