To me the biggest issue is that they haven’t had a higher end playmaker with elite hockey IQ to run the PP through. Tage and Cozens are not thinkers. They will throw the puck away more than they will make a smart play. Benson might become that guy over time. I have hope for Östlund but he is a few years away.

I never said I was quitting, but for my mental health I’m not following this team this season with any effort because they haven’t earned that from me. I have been a fan since 1980, through ups and many downs. I just cant muster the strength to sit through this crap again. 14 years with no playoffs is beyond the limit that a fanbase should have to sit through. The GM says there are no restrictions on spending yet they sit there with millions in cap space and hired a coach and refused to let him bring in a single guy of his own. They are not serious about winning and after 13 years without the playoffs that is absolutely unacceptable. I mean if this keeps going they may be playing in front of four thousand people after Christmas. It’s not 1-4-1, it’s the same game we have seen from the same team for years.

I mean how many times can we go through this? I haven’t been able to bring myself to watch a game this season. I just read the results and I have no emotional reaction anymore. If this season goes the way it is starting then I honestly have no idea what this franchise does. It will have lost all goodwill with the fanbase. The only way I see things changing is removing the common denominator the past 14 years, Pegula. Then you are looking at starting over again. All the young players and draft picks in the world mean nothing if you can’t build a team properly. If Pegula cans Adams who does he bring in if he doesn’t trust NHL people? Ah, remember when Bill Zito was under consideration as GM? What could have been.

But the Sabres need all that cap space to sign players in the future while none of those teams apparently have any players to sign so they can spend all their money now.😜 It is either Pegula telling Adams he can’t spend to the cap and Adams lying to the media and fans about it or Adams is just incompetent at managing a Cap. I strongly believe it’s Pegula. Bringing in Ruff and keeping all the other coaches should be a tip off to that.

I think the Jets are 1-2 more losses away from a Rodgers meltdown. Guy’s body language is brutal and he looks like every hit might be his last. So this week: 1) workout new kickers 2) 4 straight days of practicing knocking balls down on Hail Marys in the end zone.

Allen has worse game of career. D can’t stop Houston on 3rd down to save their lives. And you are still tied late in the 4th. So the coaching staff decides to give the game away AGAIN with a complete lack of understanding of clock management.🤬🤬🤬 How the F do you have possessions of 19 and 16 seconds. You run the ball once at the end of the game and Houston don’t have time to get the ball back and win the game. The incompetence of this coaching staff in regards to clock management is beyond frustrating. Just a fantastic weekend of Buffalo sports🤬

I have no problem with them moving Rosen but those thinking he is a bust of some kind are misguided. With his wheels and shot he will play in the NHL. He is pretty sound defensively too. Kulich is a one trick pony but he does it well and at clutch times. The only tool Östlund is missing is muscle/weight. Helenuis is going to turn into a well rounded 2C

I think the arbitration process is a joke. Face to face with the player arguing that he sucks and doesn’t deserve a good contract. They can say “it’s only business” but those meetings do nothing but destroy relationships.
