  1. Friedman says teams are talking to Calgary about Hanifin. Have to believe Adams is one of them. He fits the profile, fits the system and Granato coached him
  2. LeBrun reports that Hellebuyck has informed the Jets that he will not sign any extension in Winnipeg and doesn’t want to play in Canada. He will be moved. Would I trade Levi for him? No He is 30 and will want a big $ extension. I would rent him for a season if the deal was fair to pair him with Levi for a season and get a good playoff run.

  4. Benson is a wildcard for me in the top 10. Like Savoie he could drop because of his size but the talent is world class. I can’t see him making it to 13. He is from BC and if he makes it to 11 Canucks should be running to the podium. But stranger things have happened. Adams likes his family connections so I would imagine Perrault is an option for sure as well as MaCarthy later in the draft.
  5. Good to know Adams is actively looking to improve our two biggest needs. Wish LeBrun mentioned a couple of the dmen Adams has been looking into.
  6. #13, UPL, Östlund/Rosen would be where I would go. Saros is that good and sets them up for two very good playoff runs.
  7. To me Saros is the perfect target for them. Consistently one of the best goalies in hockey, plays a style very similar to Levi so can help mentor him and has 2 years left on his deal. I would give up 13oa, UPL and a lesser prospect for him. Saros/Levi for 2 years would be fantastic.

  9. On another board someone proposed a JJ Peterka for Evan Bouchard deal. A lot of posters said no they feel Peterka’s upside is too high. Others said no because Bouchard is an offensive dman and will want too much as a number 3-4.
  10. I think SJ, Habs, Caps And Wings are all teams that will be looking at Michkov Hughes just said he wants to draft the best player available. Maybe he falls out of the top 10 but I would be shocked.
  11. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/off-season-goalie-market-outlook-the-players-the-buyers-the-sellers/ Great article about the goalie market this summer. I think Freddy Andersen is the most realistic option for a vet goalie upgrade that could pair with Levi for a couple seasons.
  12. I’m not a huge fan. 9 years in the NHL and this was his only season as a + player. Many years at -25, -27, -30. Makes a ton of boneheaded plays. I don’t think he’s horrible but 8 years at the price they will definitely have buyers remorse.
  13. I predict by next summer they will be looking for a way to move on from that deal.
  14. Yes, sorry, you are correct. The Russians are not allowed at the combine so they can’t interview them there unless zoom meeting are allowed. Im sure they will interview a ton of the players. Hopefully Adams is talking with the others GMs and has some things percolating.

  16. For context Calgary will be paying Huberdeau $10.5 million per year for his age 30-38 years. He should have brought his Packers’ cheesehead hat to block out the sun.😛
  17. Lance lists Wood, Perreault, Simashev, Gulyayev, But, Honzek, Moore, Sale as the names the Sabres are interviewing. Now that won’t be everyone they are interviewing or looking at but those are the names he stated. Gives you some idea of the guys they like around that 13th pick.
  18. Korpisalo is another interesting name if he doesn't re-up in LA
  19. Yes it does. I think if it is $10x8 then that is a great deal. As you say, 9 more years of Dahlin. It is a fair deal for both sides and by year 5 it will look like a steal of a deal.
  20. Good write ups. I think the 2 guys that will slide in the top 10 will be Michkov and Benson. Michkov because of the Russian factor but more importantly the contract. I can’t see him getting by the Caps or Wings. Benson is a small winger without blazing speed ( he is a great skater but scouts will count the wheels against him) I wouldn’t be shocked if he is sitting there in the 11-13 range.
