  1. Move out Joker and Bryson. Find a #4RD to play with Power (Tanev, Cernak, Demelo, Roy, Myers) type.
  2. There will be a couple very good players available at #11. That is good for Buffalo if they keep the pick and makes it appealing to other teams in a potential trade. The only player I’m not in love with is Eiserman, just not impressed with his overall game. But if you make a trade with Kulich then he can replace him as the sniper prospect in the system.
  3. The draft is a crapshoot even in the top 10 most years. You draft a kid at 18, send him back to junior or where ever he plays and hope he grows and develops. Lindgren never developed his overall game. I mean Kamloops were hosting the Memorial Cup and he asked to be traded. Something didn’t make sense. If they sign him they hope he can crack the ECHL roster but there is no guarantee he can. His skating was a big plus but the rest of his game was just meh.
  4. I believe Metsa’s AHL deal is for next year too. He will be 26 but I see him as a guy that will get NHL time eventually. So smart. Could be a Chad Ruhwedl type that can play useful minutes in a bottom pair role at a cheap price.
  5. I think TB bringing in McDonaugh nixes any Cirelli deal. They are trying to win now and Cirelli is their 2nd line centre. They will try to move out the Jeannots and Shearys but massage the cap to keep Cirelli and bring Stamkos back. They need to sign a 6th and 7th dman and bottom line players unless they just promote from the AHL. The only way I see them moving Cirelli is if they get a cheap replacement that keeps them competitive.
  6. Komarov got kicked out for nailing Savoie after the empty net goal. I love Komarov’s compete. Kid is a warrior. PLEASE make Novikov-Komarov a thing in Rochester next season.
  7. I read an article that said Tulsky basically ran things but didn’t have the people skills to deal with the GM personalities around the league. Waddell was the guy to talk to the other GMs. I would imagine that setup will continue and an old school figurehead will be named Carolina GM and fill the same role.
  8. There will be better players than Greentree at 11. Greentree’s skating will be an issue in the NHL. He’s big but he doesn’t play the gritty tough game you are hoping he does.
  9. I watched Senneke in Oshawa last year and thought he was a smart talented player at 5’10. Now at 6’2-6’3 he is even more impressive. Remeinds me a lot of a bigger Jack Quinn. Not just the play style but that the upside is unreal.
  10. http://ohlprospects.blogspot.com/2024/05/my-final-top-50-ohl-players-for-2024_28.html?m=1
  11. To me Sam Dickinson is the best dman in the draft. The kid can do it all and being coached by Hunter he has been developed properly for the NHL game. These other dmen have “measurables” but as far as being good at playing the position he is the best defender available. Buium would be a close second.
  12. Hakstol and Bylsma. Can’t say I’m a fan of the Seattle Kraken HC lineage.
  13. He does still live in the Buffalo area so who knows.
  14. No one said president. Senior advisor would be the role.
  15. I can see his point with Babcock but this was just an obnoxious post that made it look like a guy desperate for attention.
  16. One of the worst deals ever.
  17. Yeah, I just did a spot take when I read his comments yesterday.
  18. God Peters and Rivet have become a complete joke
  19. https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/complete-b-s-sens-gm-steve-staios-swats-down-rumours-team-is-looking-to-trade-brady-tkachuk-1.2126920 Looks like it is BS anyways
  20. I’m not telling anyone to look up Mike Commodore’s comments on the Arniel hire with the Jets.😳😂 Commodore played for him in Columbus.
  21. He was a senior advisor in Carolina and right now he is a senior advisor for Florida.
  22. Start up the rumour mill and mock trades😜
  23. Who is your suggestion for them to bring in who is a better hockey mind than Dudley?
  24. Pretty much done deal on Waddell to Columbus. Im just intrigued if Buffalo really looked at him because that tells me they are serious about bringing some senior hockey minds into the organization. my number one choice is Dudley but I’ll be interested to hear if they are talking to anyone about a senior advisor role. Maybe they have figured out that when you hire a GM with no experience it would probably help to have a solid vet hockey man to help guide him a bit.
