I’m surprised that with the Amerks being shut down with Covid that they would let an Amerks player be called up. I’m sure he has to pass a test first before he can join the Sabres.

It is about time we start showing some love to 7th round pick Tyson Kozak. The centre for Portland is quietly up to 19 points in 21 games. Also, our two top prospects, Power and Quinn both wear #22. Interesting to see who will rock that number for the Sabres for years to come.

Yes but you forget that Power is on a powerhouse team which means Power’s points don’t count because he is being propped up. However Beniers, Johnson, Brisson, Bordeleau, Hughes etc. all their points count for “reasons” so they are all great prospects.😁

Ullmark’s numbers lineup with his numbers in Buffalo. I don’t see a difference. Boston signing him was their mistake. Vladar is a better goalie and Rask wants to come back. Don’t know the thought process there.

I think his mental game is a huge strength for him. So consistent in all aspects of his game. Turning pro will depend on the organization at the end of the year. UPL, Portillo and Levi will all need to play consistently next year to develop.

Levi now has a stat line of: 16gp 11-4-1 1.43gaa .950 sv% His numbers are better then his insane Junior numbers.😀

They are on a run of giving up multiple goals in small windows of time. They have to clean it up. They play much better structurally in the defensive zone and exit the zone better as well. Some is Granato’s system, some of it is replacing Risto with the likes of Hagg and Pysyk. There is a long way to go but they are on the right track.

Both Khudobin and Bishop have NMCs which means they can veto a deal to Buffalo. Holtby has no NMC clause. They can trade him anywhere.

I agree with this. It just seems a number of people want to dump on him. At the end of the season we can see where he is at. My biggest gripe (not from you) are the people who say he has never been good, totally ignoring his OHL career and WJC run. I’m not going to say he is the solution but before age 24 you really don’t know what you have.

People wanting to dump on the kid when he has a .920 sv % his last 8 games but ignoring it all together tends to lean towards narrative.

Umm What? Binnington has won a Cup, Campbell has been lights out. Allen and Blackwood are legit NHL goalies. There seems to be a narrative where some just seem to want UPL to fail. I don’t get it. Kid has played much better of late he is very young for a pro goalie.

Don’t forget Bergevin was about to be canned last season before that magical run saved his job. The real question for the new front office will be what to do with Ducharme who just got an extension.

It sounds like Anderson might not come back. Speculation that he has a concussion and after the serious one a few years back he might just pack it in. Marek and a few others are putting that out there that it is not good. That would put them in a spot. Claim Murray, trade for Holtby, hope for the best.

You can argue the ranking but overall that is a very balanced and skilled top 11 and then to have the likes of Laaksonen, Bloom, Kisakov, Nadeau, Novikov after that group is really nice.
