  1. https://www.tsn.ca/shane-wright-logan-cooley-juraj-slafkovsky-nhl-draft-1.1797803 I don’t know if this was posted or not. It was from draft lottery day. It is Mckenzie’s top 5 (7 really) 1)Wright 2) Slafkovsky 3) Cooley 4) Nemec 5) Kemell with Jiricek And Savoie next.
  2. Vaisilesky has been brutal. He looks absolutely lost in net. He is going to have to find his game for Game 7. Leafs have outplayed them this series but it comes down to one game and the Leafs and Game 7s do not get along at all.
  3. If you have watched the AHL playoffs, Quinn has struggled while Krebs and Peterka have played well. Quinn will need to engage more consistently to make the Sabres next year.
  4. 5’10, 150lbs He has got those Jagger Firkus measurements. hopefully he bulks up some.
  5. Let’s not forget the Leafs are the higher seed and finished as one of the top teams in the league. TB aren’t down to an inferior team. I expect them to pour it on in Game 6 and see where the chips fall in a 7th game.
  6. It’s time for this Leafs group to breakthrough. Too much talent to be first round fodder every season. They can probably go on a nice run if they can finally get over the first round hump.
  7. He has not produced in the pro league and has forced his way off a couple teams. Rumours that his dad is gets too involved. He had a good start to the WJCs before they got cancelled. If he has a big WJCs in August then his stock might start to rise again. Has all the tools but hasn’t been able to put it all together.
  8. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/nhl-scouts-analysis-how-canadian-lottery-teams-could-approach-the-draft/ Not Sabres focused but a really good read from a scout’s perspective.
  9. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/nhl-top-16-mock-draft-canadiens-keep-first-overall-pick/ http://www.mynhldraft.com/NHL-Mock-Draft/
  10. I just don’t care. He told a story.
  11. The story he told was that when they got to the rink Koivu was basically hiding in the trainers room. The trainer had took him to get stitched up but never told the team. Saku told Rivet that he couldn’t bend over. But he DID play that night but missed the rest of the series after that game.
  12. He told the story a couple of times in varying degrees of detail. Once with Peters, once with Friedman, once on that podcast. Depends who you listened too.
  13. Rivet said that Koivu played Game 3 but didn’t play the rest of the series. He had so many stitches in his back he couldn’t bend over.
  14. If he was a great skater he probably would have been a first round pick. He is a project and the project is can they get his skating to NHL level. He seems to have all the other traits.
  15. https://www.tsn.ca/shane-wright-nhl-draft-lottery-ranking-1.1797605 Button’s latest rankings. Lots of movement. Savoie down to 17, Nazar 24th, Geekie 31st.
  16. I think you are right. I was thinking about 1st and 2nd but as it is two separate draws then yeah 6th would be the spot.
  17. A pick can only move up 10 spots. If Vegas won the lottery they would move up to 6th. If they won the second slot they could move up to 7th. They cannot be bumped back. So 6th, 7th or 16th are the options. The pick is top 10 protected. So if they move up then they keep the pick and Sabres get their 2023 pick.
  18. Watching the Rags implode is fantastic. Their saviour has fallen apart in net and all their untouchable young players are invisible.
  19. LOL Friday night I went to Belleville to watch the Sens-Amerks playoff game. We could see into the Sens box. Dorian, MCGuire and about 8 other execs were in the box. The other 9 guys were gathering and talking and McGuire was sitting by himself. No one would talk to him. He must be a way bigger a**hole then we even think. I have a feeling that Pierre convinced Melnyk to hire him and when he passed away Dorian couldn’t wait to can McGuire.
  20. I wonder where this leaves Lane Lambert? Will he take over with the Isles or go somewhere else as HC or follow Trotz to his next destination.
  21. Why? Laaksonen has had the better career in the AHL so far.
  22. Imagine paying $11 million for Tavares for the next 4 years.
  23. It was a general statement because I have seen people on more then a couple sites that are locked in on him. I just don’t see it. I agree with you about the concept of a physical, defensive shutdown type to round out the corps.
  24. What is The obsession with Connor Murphy? It is right up there with the obsession over Miles Wood. Murphy doesn’t impress me at all.
