LOL this board is as broken as the team. The fight wasn’t good enough, the win wasn’t good enough, even if by miracle they made the playoffs they would just lose in the first round.😁 They got their 4th win in a row, this one without their star forward and number 1 goalie. I enjoyed the game. Being happy with a win doesn’t mean you are happy with the franchise. There are a lot of issues that need to be fixed and it starts with Pegula and Adams.

Someone on the ice should have went over and dropped the gloves with Noesen. The result of the fight is irrelevant. Just show up and stand up for your teammates. Do the Sabres need a Matt Rempe? Play sometimes on the 4th line and be an enforcer? The fanbase at large would appreciate it.

Good write up. Bear would be a fan favorite for sure. Misa and Bear are 2 choices I would love depending on where the Sabres draft. McQueen might be another Cayden Lindstrom. Back injuries are very scary.

Do the Sabres send Kulich down for the AHL playoffs? Amerks are loaded for a real run. Let him finish the season in Buffalo and then return him for a long playoff run would be the smart play.

The biggest thing you need in a quality centre is someone who has great hockey sense. Who can read the play, anticipate and create plays and distribute the puck to wingers. Cozens is terrible in each of these categories. He is a winger that can use his speed and snipe. But when he has to think and distribute it is a disaster.

If you look around the NHL there is a real dearth of high end centres. Some teams might have one but few have 2 quality centres. If everything is even I would take the centre if one is available.

Ideally no. You want a top 6 centre who is a playmaker and create for his wingers. The Sabres have none of them. Kulich and Tage have good chemistry but both should be wingers with a good playmaker in the middle.

OK Fine. Kulich sucks. Send him down, or just terminate his contract like the Blues did with Saad. No need to waste everyone’s time.😝

I think with the increased increases in the Cap coming the Sabres should be looking at signing Byram long term. Him and Dahlin give the Sabres a very good top pairing. The focus (as it has always been) is finding a quality vet RHD to play with Power and help him out. Muel and Joker can go. Clifton is a solid third pairing guy. Get a solid vet LHD for the 3rd pairing that plays well defensively and is physical. Guys like Novikov, Komarov, Strabek, Kleber have promise but are all 2 years+ out. Up front I would move out Cozens if possible. Sabres need a centre with hockey sense and playmaking skill to compliment all the shooters. I would keep Benson and Kulich. JJ and Quinn both needs deals. I might move one to bring in a different type of forward. Id try to extend Zucker and Greenway for reasonable deals. Guys like Kozak, McLeod, Malenstyn are good bottom 6 guys. Rosen is a guy that is going to need a look next season or be moved for a good piece. He has great chemistry with Kulich. I don’t trust Adams to get any of this done and the cap space means nothing if Pegula continues to go cheap.

LOL he is and I originally said he was special but I thought using special twice was too much so I changed the wording to great. McKenna’s hockey sense and vision is elite. Kind of reminds me of Paul Kariya, a LW that dominates the play with his brain and skill.
