  1. Just like a kale smoothie - goes in and right out.
  2. Bettman has progressively made the league more corporate, less fun and less interesting. I could’ve endured that. But then Terry came along and destroyed the Sabres franchise (apparently, by most accounts, in a perfectly well-meaning way). I am pretty much done at this point and would not be too bothered if the team was sold and moved. The product is terrible and the fans are being punished for their patience.
  3. He’s just not strong on the puck this year. He’s coasting a bit or injured or both.
  4. This is spirited hockey and with the Quinn line in particular with Dahlin on the blue line, you see flashes of future greatness.
  5. Pegula doesn’t like being embarrassed and he reacts to it. In prior years, internal dysfunction has spilled out into the open and embarrassed the owners and they have reacted to it. Now? The Sabres are a well-functioning organ of mediocrity. By most appearances everyone is on the same page. The coaches, GM, scouts, media team are all operating in sync. Stasis has been achieved with the local reporters, no one is asking too difficult questions. No Tyler Dunne “hit pieces” on that side of the business. Sabres alumni are no longer being given misspelled jerseys. Franchise values keep growing steadily. It’s total kumbaya. I don’t see anything that would make Terry fidgety.
  6. Adams works for someone who tolerates mediocrity. Which means Adams is operating according to an entirely different scorecard than what most of us fans would prefer.
  7. Some companies tolerate mediocrity and others don’t. It’s kind of that simple. Customers can almost always tell which is which.
  8. DG is Dead Man Walking at this point. His post-game PC was a sad event last night, he knows he's lost the team and he's out of answers. It's really not all his fault, not even close.
  9. The Sabres are a team that hates having to work hard. It’s really that simple.
  10. He has done the exact same thing with the Bills, except for his one foray with Rex Ryan where he probably felt like he got swindled. That was it. Otherwise he's been completely addicted to rookie GMs and mostly addicted to rookie HCs. Nice man, terrible executive.
  11. It’s over. They have failed. Terry has tried repeatedly and failed. Time to turn the franchise over to someone else. The fans just don’t deserve this.
  12. And that accountability needs to start at the top with ownership. It’s high time that winning actually became the number one organizational goal. Not just “sustained winning over many years” but actually winning NOW. Start winning now and then work towards sustaining it. This franchise punishes its fans.
  13. I am increasingly of the view that the problem is at the top: the owner has no clue, still, how to hire folks and how to set standards that elevate the organization. The Sabres are someone’s poorly-run and neglected hobby.
  14. Wouldn’t have been a good signing for the Sabres but it’s a bad look for Adams that he wasn’t able to convince Kane to join the team.
  15. It’s time to instill accountability and raised expectations.
  16. Signs of life Skinner is such a chaos agent. Tuch and Cozens brought their a-games. Kyle is all class.
  17. What does this organization think that it’s selling to its fans?
  18. Cozens needs to sit, not Levi. He’s been genuinely terrible this season.
  19. They are desperate to be challenged with the burden of high expectations.
