This organization has a very real problem with destroying young, unprepared, talented players by throwing them in to the parent clubs disaster. Let the kids develop without being subjected to this sideshow bob circus already Kevyn. You’ve done more than enough damage, why torture another round of this organizations future?

There is no reason to. Address the defensemen deficiencies, sign and/or trade for what veteran presence defense and forward ranks with consistent 60 minute game play in mind. The team is young, lacks that veteran presence. Zucker and Greenway are a start, get 3 or 4 more. Offensive ability isn’t lacking, defensive play and consistency are imho.

More in the line of Pens stars are old, slower, their supporting cast of players are bad as well. i say our boys itch their balloon knots then shove their fingers up every pens players nostrils. Consider it payback for years of Crosby torture.

He’s not wrong. Zucker and Greenway are good examples. The problem isn’t the strategy concept, the problem is in its implementation. It’s abundantly clear the desire to win here hasn’t taken hold the way Adams speaks on it, and that failure is on him as much as it is on the youth of the players the attempted culture establishment is for. There appears to be a disconnect between the reality of the time frame, both for Adam’s and the fan base. While it’s true fans have absorbed a great deal of organizational product abuse, it’s also true that Adam’s has had more than ample time to address this. His prolonged time line has only further damaged the brand to the fans imo. To myself in any event, and maybe others, this strategy timeline is a failure and I am in the LGR camp, where it shows incompetence even to the casual fans at this point. just my view is all. This was great, thx. I caught the Boston game, 1 of only a handful of games since Xmas. Work combined with a lack of interest. But I do read the boards quite a bit and check the scores, read the articles, talk about them from time to time with family/friends. I do hope we are turning a corner this coming off season. I’m optimistic, but cautiously.

As long as it translates in to a ticket to one of the eastern conference playoff seats I don’t care if it’s Sabrestooth that talks to Terry. The management and coaching money doesn’t count towards the cap, so my only interest is a run in the post season dance.

Well, there main strength is consistency, as in consistently not making the playoffs. They’ve mastered that I’d surmise.

So, after reading the responses to this trade so far, did we get the better player? Cozens definitely under performed here after that 30 goal season. Was it system? Was it the jaw incident? I don’t know, but he’s showed no signs of returning to form imo.

I do not believe Houston would successfully support an NHL franchise, the demographics don’t fit. I was stationed in Houston and the surrounding bay areas just southeast of there for 6 years. I do however believe Jacksonville and Orlando could absorb an NHL franchise with some success, but ultimately I look to St. Pete/Tampa as a very viable candidate for a 2nd franchise. Why Florida? I lived there for a spell a couple of times, the demographics are heavy northern transplants, understand the game, and let’s be honest……….Palm Trees!

My buddy in Carolina asked me after the Canes game why they’re so bad. He’d been to other games in Colorado, Nashville, Minnesota and a couple others over the past 7 years or so, he’d never seen the Sabres lose but he’s aware they are always a non playoff team. i didn’t have an answer for him. Wish I knew why they are not a good team over these years.

My best friend, whom I met in 2004 at 34 yrs old, who didn’t know squat about hockey until meeting me seeing as he is a Texas born, Alabama/Mississippi resident most of his adult life, is going to be at this game. He’s currently a regional project coordinator for the 2nd largest E&I contractor globally. Thats the back drop to what I’m about to release information wise. Since he’s found hockey through myself, every game he’s attended involving the Sabres, which is 7 before this game, the Sabres have won. All in the Pegula era. So ya, I’m calling it now, Sabres win. 😁
