Do You Like The JJP for Kesselring/Doan Trade RIGHT NOW?
Scottysabres replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
I LOVE THIS MOVE!!! -
At this point dudacek, whatever it takes to get this team competitive and playoff bound. To myself in any event, a good roster that can finish is like satisfying an appetite, it’s rather ridiculously obscene the amount of offense talent this team has. It’s been well past time to stop choking that chicken and let the gravy flow.
-
It means I really have no problem with the organization moving anyone on the roster, and I mean anyone literally. I get the frustration, I’m just not there anymore. I want to see who goes, who stays, who is brought in. As of now, I like a top 4 d man and another energy line 4 guy more than Peterka. We lost a 25 to 30 goal scorer, there’s replacements waiting in a long line, and brace yourself, I don’t think he’ll be the only forward going. Just my opinion is all.

Sometimes your life he bug, sometimes your the windshield. i don’t get upset over Adam’s anymore. Given enough years he’ll figure it out I suppose. Look at the bright side, you get to see these bright budding stars before they become famous and win a cup. Hell, you could proudly walk about telling folks “I knew that player before he won his cups.
-
Thorny, I didn’t get what he wanted, nor did I not get what I wanted. Frankly speaking, the Sabres weren’t going to be able to keep all these young 1st rdrs. Some were getting moved, if it’s Peterka, so be it. The team has finished poorly each season, and while that is most certainly not on Peterka, moves need to be made to try and stop that.

Was it 76? I don’t know, 88 to 96 were my lost years, I was overseas most of it.
-
Good for him. Thrilling overall NHL career story, from dodging kgb agents to 74 goals and a cup with NJ I believe. Definitely a good HOF section to stop and read on if they do it right.
-
Adams is moving at his normal pace, why this seems ridiculous is baffling. He will get around to a move sometime in early August, 2027, after his 5 yr extension is well entrenched.

I think both Florida and Vegas got players entering their prime, and not just any players, but a couple of superstars in their own right. ive said it for a while now, but Buffalo has become a development farm team. That’s jus factually proven now.

Both Eckel and Reinhart are great players, but the difference between their failures in Buffalo and successes after Buffalo are directly related to their surrounding cast. Florida and Las Vegas built winning rosters, winning coaching and winning management. It is what it is.

What, If Anything, Gives You Hope For Next Season?
Scottysabres replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
Meds, lots of “take me to my happy place” meds. or Psychodelics, ya, pretty sure mind alterings can bring me back to memories of playoff runs. short of that, I don’t know. -
Has to be an established top 6 forward coming back, no? I mean, don’t get me wrong Ink, I think the Sabres can absorb losing Peterka and a player like Quinn with no issues, since we have no where to climb but up. But I don’t think a trade like a Peterka asset is about honoring the players feels about not wanting to be here. I think it’s about pulling this team out of the basement. But hey, I realize it’s Adams. We have a lot of assets, I’m just thinking he’s not going to trade for picks or futures, but a here and now deal.

Friedman- Sabres looking to move prospects for players
Scottysabres replied to JoeSchmoe's topic in The Aud Club
There is an awful lot of chatter about the Sabres positioning themselves to make moves. The current core wanting to win now report, trade talk, it appears to be getting serious. i can’t say I’m confident yet, but I am interested. Waiting to see how this all plays out. If it looks promising after the dust settles, I may dip my toes back in to the season ticket pool again. -
Someone say darn gun style?

Are there major changes coming this summer and who will make them?
Scottysabres replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
Buffalo is always the most active in the off season, since their off season starts earlier than any other teams. -
Everytime bad vibes drama incudes a Dallas team, an Angel gets their wings.

Sabres announce Jarmo Kekalainen Hired as Senior Advisor
Scottysabres replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
I don’t know how I should feel about this. i could be my normal smart ass self and post a meme asking everyone else how I should feel, but alas, the teams 14 season run has even gutted me of any real humor on the situation. I’ll just take the same approach I’ve had to take these past 14 seasons, wait and see how it all pans out. Am I more hopeful now than before? Not really. Have I fallen further in to the pit of hockey hell then before? Not really. I exist in my Sabres fandom, therefore I am. That’s all I got. -
Tage wins it in OOOOvvertime! World Gold for Team USA!
Scottysabres replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Good for Tage. Glad USA finally broke through. -
The only way he comes here is if he gets paid. I don’t think he’s worth it, offense isn’t the Sabres problem. Consistency, defense and putting a full 60 in each game is as far as I can tell. Marner doesn’t add to any of that, yes or no?
-
Ya, his character was legend. You felt at home watching Cheers, Boston and Buffalo and probably a thousand other towns in America had that in common back in the 80’s……beer! Thanks for the memories Norm.

I have Florida, because……..Toronto. 😂

How would you retool this team this summer?
Scottysabres replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
I’d trade the owners decisions to another club. Lately, Vegas and their arrogant players and fans feels like a great organization to sick Pegulas decisions on. -
Owning/ending the drought: say it out loud, Sabres
Scottysabres replied to PASabreFan's topic in The Aud Club
I wouldn’t say ever, but ya I get it, they suck with no changes of significance to say things will be any different next season. At least, not at this time. the off season for them is long, I’ll wait to see what shakes out up to late September before passing the now annual off season judgement on them. I have no confidence they will surprise us mind you, but hey, maybe Kev and his staff started a free trial of the little blue pill, ya never know.
