Surprising no trade yet to be honest. I am curious if there's multiple deals, one large deal or if it is merely a Toffoli type deal. Hope it happens shortly whatever it is.

I've heard you ink. And I agree.

I didn't say effort, I said culture. I've seen to many last minute turn over the leads and to many get behind the 8 ball early and can't play catch up to know it is culture, pure and simple. Look, either players show up determined to carry out the game plan with their full skill set and drive to succeed on display, or they don't. In the Sabres and Bills case, they don't, plain and simple imho.

It won't matter what trade they make to be honest. It's not the players entirely. It's the culture and atmosphere around this team. Both the Sabres and Bills are just door mats for those going on to greater things, regardless if you like that comment or not, it's the bare bones truth. The owners? Maybe. But the losing culture, and the culture to not compete 100% of the game played is a constant problem with these teams, and has been long before the Pegula's arrived. Call it what you will, but I don't see it changing anytime soon.

While it is odd a sports market suffers the way we have, it's not unprecedented I'd imagine. To myself in any event, it starts with ownership. Not so much poor ownership in Buffalo's case, just completely inexperienced, and as such, poor decisions follow. Our sports teams have been very good at disappointing my entire life, why should this year be any different? Because I see nothing that has truly changed. Just my 2 pennies is all.

Josh Allen is not the answer. Nuff said.

GDT: 11/9/2019 1pm ET Buffalo Sabres at Tampa in ModoLand

Exactly this. For some reason, lord only knows why, the ownership (who you'd think would want a tougher team since Terry was a supposed fan of the 70's team) just absolutely refuses to properly address this specific subject. It is quite baffling since it's been on full display for a while now. -

I know it is not a popular assessment, but the kid needs to be sent down. His gaffes game after game are brutal. -

So had to work today but got home just in time to see the 3rd period wheels fall off. That Dahlin give away was ugly. -
50 for 50 - Best Sabre Players of All-Time

Just got on. Is it true? 4 - 0 Buffalo in the 1st, Olofsson with a hatty? -
I'd prefer a player 24 to 27 to be honest, when considering 4 more years. I am hesitant to put stock in guys going in to their early/mid 30's, even skilled guys. Not to say all would fall off production wise on a serious scale, but the odds are not in favor of striking lightning.

You asked why, granted, not to myself, but I answered in any event. Tage could be called up and bust, Tage could not be called up and do a multitude of things in the AHL, Tage could...………...ah hell, you get the point. -

Because players on the current roster are faltering a bit. -

This. They knew going in to the season this roster still needs subtraction and additions. Jack's play, for 10 mil, let's just say less than not impressive. Reinhart, where has he gone? And 5he list can go on, the point IS NOT that 5hey suck, etc, etc. No, the point is "consistency", specifically effort and learning from mistakes, neither of which is showing significant progress imo. -

He knows how, but it's not up to him, it's up to bots. Need a couple of key pieces in the forward ranks. -

Hope they rebound and get their ***** together for tonight's game. Go Sabres! -
The blind passes have to stop, it's costing them. McCabe leaving his position in front of the net left that guy wide open. Dahlin on 2 goals, oof, got owned. Ullmark on that first goal. Players have bad games, it happens, but there is some very real "tells" in these Sabres game. For example, They have a real problem loosing puck battles and they aren't nearly as physical as their opponents, teams are catching on to this quickly. Since they can't appear to stick handle or dangle, or pass their way out of those situations, opponents take advantage. Whether that's player puck support or just inexperience remains to be seen, but right now, that's a problem. Lack of net front presence that dominates with consistency both in the offensive as well as the defensive zone. It's an issue. If you notice, the Sabres don't use actual player cycling movement very often, they are often standing around, and it shows. There is a lot of work to do yet for the coaching staff, just some of my takes on what I am seeing game in and game out, even in the wins.
