The Sabres still need size with speed and snarl, but this is only 1 game out of 82. Maybe Botts will make a move around this time of year, but I'm very skeptical he will. I think we have to wait until the deadline. In the mean time, Toronto will continue to own us as they appear to have righted their ship for the season. Meh, it is what it is I guess.

Sounds reasonable. Couple of questions on the views expressed. Who is going to center a Skinner / Reinhart line? Would they be looking for a right handed shot RW for VO and Eichel.

I believe this will help his game a great deal. Build up his confidence to boot. Maybe he can find chemistry with Tage or one of the up and coming wingers.

Outside of his stats not looking very good, I know little about him. Is he physical, does he pk or something?

While yes, timing was a major contributing factor, players like to play there. And what's not to like, the greater Denver area is quite beautiful, albeit pricey as hell. As for Bogo, I have nothing against h8s performance personally, I am one of the guilty one's however that would like to move along from him given the amount of injury time. I guess I just don't see the ROI on the just over 5 mil for the time he's been here.

I'm guessing close with the Avs. Man that team's cap situation is well handled.

The question I have, based on what you just said...…..what team is looking to add a package from Buffalo, assuming Mitts would be in a package, that would garner such a return? Honestly, the suspects based on situation, Ottawa, Philadelphia and maybe Calgary come to mind. Of course, in full disclosure, this is purely guess work based on the under 25 big piece and people league wide high on him combined with situational awareness, cap and roster wise. I could be way off though.

This loss was not Josh Allen's fault. The lack of successful run game falls squarely on the offensive coordinators shoulders. We should have won this game, point blank, end of conversation imho.

This both terrifies me and makes me a bit excited. I openly admit I've wanted to see Galchenyuk on the Sabres, for the main reason of his high energy play. I also openly admit he is most likely a solid line 3 player, so I wouldn't give up much for him, and I wouldn't re-sign him for anything more than 3.5 to 4 mil for 3 yrs at most. What terrifies me is what Botts is going to give for him. If it's Miller, I have no problem there. And with the Penguins d needs I can see that as a realistic option, but something tells me he'll give more, which is the terror part.

I think he's being given the ice time to move him as a rental at the deadline. Both him and Scandella I believe will be moved then. In the larger strategy picture, I am now 100% convinced this season has been given Pegulas stamp of approval as a "do what you can but don't go for it this season" kind of scenario. It is the only conclusion I can draw given the primarily intact roster from last failed season and the lack of in seadon moves to date to address some more than obvious glaring holes in the current rosters game.
