I think the Devils come in to this game playing mad. I'm expecting a tight affair in to overtime. All will hinge on goaltending. 50/50 on who takes the tilt. I'll put on the homer hat and call it 4-3, Sabres in OT.

Neither Okposo nor Skinner are considered "long term dead weight" by everyone. In other words, not everyone thinks the same. Okposo could be considered a short term cap dump, as well as a veteran presence, Skinner could be viewed as a productive player, even if over priced. Hell, it was only 2 seasons ago he hit 40 + goals.

Buffalo finishes with a lottery pick, Seattle will come knocking. They'll need cap, both Skinner and Okposo they would happily take I'd surmise.

You left out TM's trades. Why? Edit: ah never mind, you said on the current Sabres/amerks. But this current roster isnt really the full story.

There is. The Canadians organization has set the bar high if you want to be a member of that storied organization. Look at the way they move players, transition coaching. That smacks of "***** or get off the pot". Win or go home. It seems to work for them, they are highly competitive most seasons.

I'd like to see Tim Murray's forward acquisition list. I have a strong suspicion we need to somehow get Botterill and Murray to have a "complete roster" love child. Just a hunch......

Olofsson is entering his "prime power play goal scoring" years. We should acquire as many penalty drawing players as possible.

It used to happen. The last season or so, not so much. On a side note, the few times he has done it, I envision him screaming "for love of the game" as he flies through the neutral zone....... 🙂

Forgive me if I'm behind the times here, but don't we have Johanson (G) already on the taxi squad, and wouldn't that mean Ullmark and Hutton on the roster with 2 goalies on the taxi squad?
