  1. For every fan it should be GMTM and it's not even close, as they say. He had assets in that 15 draft class that he could have moved up or down the 1st and 2nd rounds at will. Instead, he initiated a fast rebuild policy that is directly responsible for where the team is today. Say what any of you will about Darcy, but his "suffering" comment was dead on accurate. Him and Ruff knew some things I reckon. But at the end of the day, come hell or high water, it was General Manager Tim Murray who was given responsibility over the assets available to pull this franchise forward, and he failed, miserably.
  2. Yes it is KC. It will end, eventually. But I can't help thinking it didnt have to sink to this level. I'll be quite frank and honest, there are board members here, the Pegula's would be wise to heel to and listen. And not just on fan disgruntled rants, but the hockey knowledge. For example, LG is well versed in youth skill sets, ink, along with several others watch their AHL team. The combination of both the gross and net wealth of knowledge on these boards alone could upgrade what we are witnessing now.
  3. that's what I do, the humor part. I'm sure you've read a couple of my posts in the threads. I was once like LG and some of the others. When I was young I kept folders on each player, their stats and so on. I lived in Wheatfield, so I'd go to Sabreland on NF Blvd and would practice with them. They'd indulge me for 10-15 minutes before I was kicked out lol. I can remember a time Houslwy was young, I was 12, he did a mock 2 on 1 with me against Suave, they let me score. I want back what this team gave me as a child, I want happiness. Win or lose, just pour your heart out in to the game.
  4. My family squandered what wealth they obtained by the time I was 14 (1984). My dad was a deep sea diver in the north sea in the 70's. He was traveling selling Electrolux vacuum cleaners in late 84. So, I picked up the torch for myself and carried on., self made. I've followed the team religiously over my life. I cried when Gil retired, but even that moment, my childhood idle, doesn't compare to these past 4 years or so. I'm a born and bread WNY'er its in my DNA. I am beyond disappointed in this franchise under Pegula's stewardship. Just so much pain.
  5. My dad's parents owned pirates haven marina at the foot of Sheridan on the river, my grandfather was also the youngest partner on the Motor Island ownership group.. So, yes, I was fortunate.
  6. I was 5 yrs old when my parents took me to a game where Lorentz knocked a bat out 9f the air with his stick. I was 3 rows up from the glass, my dad just wanted to see the Cup raised by the Sabres, he's been gone for 7 years now. I suspect my fate will be the same.
  7. I mean seriously, where is the bar for ownership? Just how low does it have to go before Ralph is gone? 10 losses in a row, really Pegula? Wake the frig up and fire this ass clown. Enough was enough 10 losses ago.
  8. Every special teams unit has a bad stretch or two for the most part. The 5 on 5 scoring so often spoke of by so many is this teams bottomless pit. Physicality, compete, hockey IQ/acumen and the list goes on i am sure. I just can't pin point a solid explanation as to why this team has had such an issue producing chemistry amongst the talent that has come and gone here in these past 4 years. Ink may very well be correct, the answer may be that they just stuck. Who knows really.
  9. I shouldn't chuckle; but I understand the sentiment.
  10. There has to be some puck luck at some point this season, this game is as good as any, Sabres stop the skid, win 4-3.
  11. Meh, it's the Sabres, I'll watch them and support them with my last breathe upon this earth. It is what it is. Go Sabres!
  12. I know it's in jest, but I don't wish this on any one. Hope it's just one case, that is all I can do.
  13. Don't entice him to learn new cliché's lol
  14. I agree. There is no player here to voice to the rookies that they need to stand their ground, no player here that instills fear in to the opponents should they try to take advantage of the less aggressive players. For as much as the NHL, hell, some fans on this very forum, want that type of aggressive kill or be killed instinct out of the game, the bottom line is that hockey is a highly competitive, violent sport, where at the top levels, the top league in the world, the NHL, it's a dog eat dog world, and winner take all. We need to get bigger, stronger, faster, and we need snarl, style and an identity that if you mess with us, were coming, and it won't be pretty.
  15. Who said anything about *****! I was merely pointing out my early childhood love for a good workout. Olivia was a regimen champion, she knew the importance of cardio.
  16. all YUMMIE!!!! Ah, to be young again....those were the days.
  17. I've been looking for that perfect gift for a certain co-worker..... Oh to hear his children during the 2nd period... "Ummm, Dad? Take the PS4, can we go now?" Lol
  18. well, to be fair, they are all Pegula love children.... 😄
  19. They're evaluating Ralph? Lol
  20. Olivia was one of a hand full of my cardio discovery pre-teen era. Her, Farrah, Jaclyn Smith and a couple others are directly responsible for my carpel tunnel surgery.
  21. Want a 1st over all pick? No need to tank, just sign Taylor Hall to a contract, he is the one, the only, bona-fide 1st over all magnet. He has a gift the likes of which I have never seen before, it is absolutely amazing.
  22. And yet, here we are. "Here in in the Buffalo, New York region mask sales are the global lowest. The Sabres Nation faithful are pro face covering however, leading the globe in recyclable paper bag sales, AINEC."
  23. John Scott could use a contract about now, no? 😄
