  1. Truth! Not only that, I have a freind who's a psychic, she swears her word to me she hears the cardboard cutouts actually booing the play by the team in the arena. And I believe her, because if I was a cardboard cutout during these games, I'd by puking all over the arena.
  2. Actually, yes, yes we can fire 25 players. It's called trades, buyouts and burying those players. But, I also agree, the first thing that needs to happen is Adams and Krueger need to go, like last year.
  3. I disagree. I've been a Sabres fanatic since 1970, the year the team came in to existence. I am a Gilbert Perreault, a French Connection living memory block. After the 75 Cup series, I have 0, and I mean 0, reservations about trading ANY player. I am as true to this team as any, the only thing that accounts, the only thing that matters, is that this organization win Lord Stanley's Cup. I am over 50 years old now, the clock has gotten much shorter for myself on seeing that in my lifetime, and the clock is ticking. If trades, management/coaching changes make that happen, then so be it. My loyalty is to the LOGO on the Jersey, and what it has represented across my life time, long before Olofsson, Ullmark, and a large number of players have come along.
  4. How in the hell does he plan to win a 7 game playoff series if he can't get his players to get up the gumption, the energy, to go through a tight scheduling? I am sick and tired of Ralph freaking Krueger. Either the Pegula's fix this nonsense or, for a life long fan such as myself, why bother showing interest?
  5. Yes, there is a path forward, A TRADE!!!!!
  6. The writing was on the wall early on to be honest. Eichel alone is a 80 to 100 point a season, 40 goal player, in an organization that has good management/coaching. The Sabres are not that team. In the end, we have a real opportunity to cleanse the entire culture. The players are obviously emotionally detached from winning here. The coaching staff is clueless. The General Management team is completely inept, sure, covid is a contributing factor, but hardly large, other teams are making moves after all. I mean, you have Staal on the interview, right now, openly admitting confidence is shot. What more is there to say? The confidence issue is "culture", and that is the core of the problem. Remove the components that are the issue of that, management, coaching staff and those players inflicted by it, hire an experienced, successful President of Hockey Operations (Lou type) and this all changes. But a majority of the current organization will have to be jettisoned imho.
  7. Trade him. Some teams will pay handsomely for that power play threat. You trade him, it's that simple honestly.
  8. I'm not. The truly shocking situation of it all is that the Pegula's have not learned a damn thing in these 10 years. That is the ultimate baffling part of it all, because the vision from them is the product we see on the ice at the end of the day. Terry cannot be happy.
  9. And the truly sad truth is, they don't have to look this way. But, with the mental beat down of a great deal of the core players, it's damn near hopeless to come out of this without an entire flushing, or near flushing of the this toilet. Drain-O, replacing the under the sink pipes, a new toilet wax ring, all will most likely be needed.
  10. Crusader put up a thread, I posted my opinion in it, and yes, AGAIN!
  11. Posted this in the GDT just in the past hour "I would fire Adams and Krueger, trade Eichel, Reinhart, Olofsson, Ullmark, Staal, Hall, Risto, Montour, Dahlin and Miller for packages of draft picks and prospects still developing. Let other contracts run out, try to move Skinner and Okposo, but wouldn't be paramount if we dumped all of the salary in the trades mentioned above. The Eichel and Reinhart trades alone could rebuild your top 6 center spine and then some, let alone the other trades. It's just not worth it to try and continue on with this nonsense, because that is just what it is, a joke, pure nonsense. Hire a well known successful President of Hockey operations and the GM and coaching staff will fill out. This isn't working, and it's actually harmful to the organizational brand on a broader scale." This would be a rebuild, but, NOT A TANK! Just a rebuild. Prospects that can play, young roster players, draft picks. A do over, if you will, without intentionally losing games. The driving force would be, TO WIN!

  13. The GM and Coaches decisions (such as coaching strategies) set the culture. So yes, it is culture. I could elaborate even further and look squarely at ownership, because in the end, it is the Pegula's that ultimately set "the culture" by their management hiring's and approvals of those management team moves. Neither here nor there, because in the end, it is, in point of fact, culture. Specifically, "The Culture of Losing". And the evidence is overwhelmingly factual. It's actually documented via the end result of the product season after season.
  14. Ya know, not for nothing, but I followed this board for many years as a guest, I'm an old timer fan like you and some others, I gotta say, these past 5 / 6 years have been, without a doubt, the absolutely worse than terribly bad Sabres on ice teams I have seen in my life time, and I know enough to know you and others feel the same way Doohickie. What a freaking ***** show. Unreal, just unreal.
  15. Nice, Olofsson has them right where he wants them for his lone Power Play Goal.
  16. To: Terry Pegula From: All Sabres Fans Subject: We Suck Dear Terry, BLOW IT UP!!!!! All of it, from GM on down to the water bottle kid. Sincerely, Every Sabres Fan
  17. Ok, my excitement is growing, it's almost time for a PP and Olofsson to score.
  18. Well, he has been sent to the press box during all of the team meetings, so there is that to consider.
  19. Staal gets thrown out of the dot a lot.
  20. Another team meeting this morning, Ralph told Skinner to go sit in the Press Box during it.
  21. I bet Ralph tells Skinner to go sit in the Press Box during the meetings....
  22. Flyers 4 - Olofsson 1 Olofsson loses.
  23. Is Ralph a whiteboard guy? I'm not sure. I do imagine him handing out individually tailored "mission statements". When Skinner gets his it just says this... YOU SUCK! 😄
