  1. I am more moderate. I believe this team can be in position to fight for a playoff spot. I also see the potential both a final 1/4 of the season battle for a playoff spot as well as the actual playoff experience can do for this young teams confidence, especially going in to next season. It's in that line of thinking that I am with others, if a move is made, make it stick. We've discussed team need, Meier has been discussed some, but there may very well be others that are worthy of conversation as well. The point is, whether we think this team can streak on in deep in to a playoff run or just battle to get in to the playoffs, these are finally becoming meaningful conversations for this fan base. There is light at the end of the tunnel it would more than appear.
  2. I am happy they didn't have skin in the Horvat game, I disagree that they should stand pat if they're still in the playoff hunt come around deadline time
  3. I do as well. But no decision is with out risk. Stay the course, will this existing roster make the playoffs this season or next? Make a move, will it be enough, or as you question, will it be the correct move? In the end, if they are fighting for a playoff spot come a couple weeks before dead line day, I say make the moves necessary to be in the fight to the end of the season. The question then becomes....long term acquisition, which comes with a greater price tag, or, short term acquisition, which is less cost adverse? I say both if it can be done without gutting the chemistry of the existing roster. For example, Meier rumor, who am I willing to part with for that longer term type investment? Quinn? JJP? A top end pipe line talent and draft capital? It's a tough call to be sure, but, the chance for the core of this roster to gain invaluable playoff experience is far more important to myself then retaining some asset capital, imho. It depends on Adam's and his staff, what do they deem invaluable going forward?
  4. Looks like the dam is bursting on the Eichel myth. The pre myth Sabres fan build up as the lottery drew near, the first couple of seasons drove by..... Generational talent? Little difference between McDavid and Eichel? Then, came seasons 3 and 4, and reality began to set in on the Sabres faithful. Eichel wasn't the holy grail, he wasn't even on the path to the promise land. Is he a leader? Is he the problem? He wants to leave? Good riddance? I don't know what every one thinks of Eichel, but 3 things were clear with his time in Buffalo.... A. Fans were hard on him, he wasn't a generational talent, but a dam good one, even with his inconsistencies. B. He wasn't a leader, at least not a roster leader. C. The continuing questions surrounding him in Buffalo have obviously followed him to Vegas. As a Sabres faithful I feel not 1 way or the other on Eichel. He wasn't the answer for our Sabres, he most likely won't be the answer for the Knights.... What I will say is this.... thank you kindly Jack for the trade return viddles.....
  5. Not that I can see. Of course, others most certainly have more info on our overall pipeline. Even still, they're not likely to be here in the next season and half or so. I'm of the opinion that if we are going to address the absence on the roster, trade or off season are to be it. Personally, I prefer a Meier type player.
  6. I've only been preaching it for a few years now, but yes, I concur, the Sabres lack beef.
  7. Timo Meier would not allow this 🤣
  8. Skinner should have sank that empty netter
  9. Seriously? Maybe they should have let them sleep in lol
  10. Great game by the Sabres. The Jets have looked disinterested from the start, which is fine by us 🤣
  11. I agree. But if Timo Meier can be had, that's the kind of delicate touch I'm looking for.
  12. When that line starts clicking in game, they are so good.
  13. Jets on a back to back? They look sluggish
  14. This is exactly the type of player Buffalo needs. If you can swing the contract commitment, you make the trade and dont look back. The Sabres going in to playoff series against EC teams that play fast paced, "physical" games. Failing to address the beef and snarl persona of a playoff run would be a huge mistake imho.
  15. Got home about 10 minutes after the game ended. Recorded it. Watching it now, 2nd just ended. They look a bit tired for the back to back, but even with that, their passing is much improved, their puck control is looking a whole lot better. This is the team I like to see.
  16. The Bills are done contending for a Bowl for a year or 2. They'll be in the playoffs, but they'll merely be a playoff stepping stone for several other AFC teams that are ahead of them in roster depth. They have to many holes to fill on both sides of the ball imho.
  17. Piss poor passing, game after game after game, which leads to poor puck control again and again and again When is this team going to stop this nonsense
  18. Right now? Today? I see Jost as the best player on the ice right now. Guy has been a force since his arrival and, at least in my view, has been a play driver as well as an in game attitude setter through his shift by shift play.
  19. Bills should keep the quarterback and go in to rebuild mode. Because being honest, they have a lot of rebuilding to do. Offensive line DB's Linebackers Receiving Corps There is a lot of work to do in Buffalo, I don't see them as serious Suoer Bowl contenders for the next 2 years minimum.
  20. You can stick a fork in the Bills, this game is over imho.
