And third in the League 5v5 goals for. Only 4 behind the Caps for first with one game in hand. https://moneypuck.com/teams.htm It’s also refreshing to see you acknowledge the Sabes offense is better this year without Mitts. 😉 -

Sabres sign Jordan Greenway to a 2 year/4 million AAV Extension

Percent of cap over next two years is about the same as where he is today at $3.5m. So it’s like a COLA. Oft injured but moments of above average play. PK numbers are obvi…. And he is a grown ass man. Not a child. That is a plus plus in itself. -
2025 NHL Trade Deadline: March 7th, at 3pm Eastern

I searched a few articles on LeChance after you posted, and seems like a guy you might want to speculate if all you have to do is retain salary. Maybe EDM had no shot of signing him, but 6-5, third leading scorer for BU, Captain as a sophomore and solid pedigree (father played in NHL on top of the maternal grandfather as you note) seems like just the type of kid you want developing on the farm. Does Adams even get a call to option or do they bypass, cause Terry? -

Footnote - Sabres have BEST plus/minus in first period, Sharks have absolute worst first period +| - . Seems like our boys are giving up early this year. -

Yes, but he has commented all game about the poor defensive play by the Sabres in their own end. Especially allowing the Canadians top line to get behind the D multiple times. This Montreal team is not impressive outside of Caufield’s shot. Can’t understand how the Sabres struggle against them. Zero for three if they don’t remove head from ass in the next 20 minutes. -

I seem to recall visiting a small “club” in Fort Erie where a dollar went a long way. I can’t imagine a better way to spend a dollar than helping a young woman’s college fund. -

Cami stepped up her wardrobe for HNiC. Love the boots. Color coordination with the Sabres Goat. -
April 18th is still spring. Dude needs to be gone the morning after the Sabres season ends.

As far as the NHL is concerned, the ESPN+ experience has been great for me. I was paying $150/year for Centre Ice on Direct TV. Direct TV also had TBS, ESPN and NHL networks. When the NFL exited DTV I cancelled my subscription, as the Bills and the NFL was my primary reason for using the service. And while I miss a few Sabres games here and there, I pickup about 65/year using ESPN plus which was only like $3.99 to bundle with Disney which I had for the kids. And I get great college hoops as a bonus. So I’m paying nothing for cable (which was $75/month) plus $150 for NHL package annually vs today I pay $4/month and catch 80% of the games. I fully acknowledge that this works b/c my “team” is not inside my region. If I were a Ducks fan, ESPN+would be worthless. As it is for Sabre fans in Western NY.

We disconnected the gas from my grandfathers house when he turned 86. It was left on many times before that decision was made. Hoping it was accidental and not murder/suicide, if in fact Carbon Monoxide. Gene was an iconic actor. In addition to those listed above - The Poseidon Adventure, The Firm, Mississippi Burning and Superman were some of my favorite roles/movies.

What will be the Sabres approach at the trade deadline?
Broken Ankles replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Quinn? If Adams is still around there is no chance Quinn is moved. Quinn was his first #1 selection. GMs are always linked to their draft picks, and famously trade those players who were drafted before their reign. Plus his stock is at an all time low. If the narrative about Kevvy is true about over valuing his players, then no GM could put an offer together acceptable by Adams expectations. I find it interesting that the Sabres are not only winning, but playing well at a time when we thought three weeks ago it would be a complete fire sale on March 7th. What if (big if) they split the Carolina and Tampa games, sweep Montreal and beat SJ at home as expected? Winning 11 of 15 would make dumping Greenway, Zucker and Joki at least a questionable move. I think the hockey gods will allow this to happen and force Adams to make the wrong decision. By the way, I’m not claiming I know what they should do if they win 4 of their next 5. I just know that it will be the wrong decision. Because Adams. -

The most entertaining part of that period was Robby telling us about “the mess on his pants”. Did they send one of the girls from Fort Erie to entertain him after dinner? Is this considered Sabres after Dark? -

Yes but that line with McLeod, Zucker and Tuch was a beautiful combination of working man coupled with superior passing. -

Makes some sense. The lack of leadership and maturity has caused this team to lose many close games that could have (should have) been won. Their goals for (179) is third in the Atlantic and is representative of the offensive talent on the teams. But poor play by UPL and defensive breakdowns have allowed way too many goals against. The observation on goal differential gives me hope that while their record shows DFL, maybe a new GM can tweak the roster and they can compete sooner than later. -
FWIW - Manning didn’t reach the superbowl until year nine in the NFL. That included two MVP awards in the years preceding the 2007 win. Josh just finished his 7th, so he is in his prime and on pace with Peyton. Big Ben’s 2009 win, which was a game for the ages and one I’ll always remember for the TD finish against the Cardinals that netted me a cool grand for the final numbers in a square, had the benefit of Tom Brady’s ALC injury in 2008 season. Captain obvious here - Bills are well run. Having an MVP as a QB on your roster helps. Current regime has three more years to get there or changes. Let me also say, as a kid I suffered through the Joe Dufek year and bottoming out in the 80’s. The 90’s Bills, sans a championship made me hold on for 17 more years in a different state 3,000 miles from home. I love Sundays because of the organization and the current roster. Can’t say the same about the Sabres. Barely holding on.

No he played “The Waiting”. In the middle of the song he paid tribute to the SNL cast members who have passed. Starting with Gilda. Moving effort.

I think it was a mea culpa, and agree it was odd. I also think Miley’s covers (she did one Friday night at Radio City) were below average. As was Jellyroll covering Cash. Weak sauce. Whereas Eddie Vedders cover of Tom Petty was tight. He can still bring it. Of course he’s not an octogenarian like Sir Paul or Simon.

It’s not even the talent or speed. It’s the compete level. Everyone was finishing checks. Effort level was extremely high. The game McAvoy played makes me think of how badly the Sabres scouting department missed on the 2016 draft. He was dominant. I hate he plays for Boston. oh, and F U Linus.

Almost lockstep with betting lines. The one deviation is that Canada holds a slight advantage over the US in futures. Although the line started with the US +170 and it’s now down to +145. With the cap numbers being an imperfect measure of talent, having the best goaltender in the world is the tiebreaker for me.
